Tonight, Coach Lucy will coach her final classes at Fit2Live at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.

After five incredible years of coaching, helping our members, crushing workouts, and somehow balancing all of it while earning her PhD, Lucy is officially heading into her next big chapter.

We could not be more proud of her.

Lucy has given a tremendous amount of her time and energy to this community. Even during the busiest seasons of pursuing her PhD, she continued to show up for our members with focus, energy, high standards, and a genuine desire to help everyone around her get better.

If you have taken one of Lucyโ€™s classes, you already know what she brings:

While tonight marks the end of her regular coaching schedule, it is also the beginning of something very exciting. Lucy earned this opportunity, and we know she is going to continue doing big things.

Why would you want to join our 2026 Summer Step challenge?

Here are some reasons from our participants last year:

" Having the step goal has helped me appreciate the smaller moments in the day where Iโ€™m taking a slightly longer route to get to where I need to go. It helps me feel just a little more intentional with my time and action! "

" This challenge has really shown me how sedentary I tend to be (even on days that Iโ€™m at Fit2Live for a class), so itโ€™s been fun to intentionally get more movement in each day. "

"This challenge has made it fun! Seeing everyone's posts reminds and inspires me to keep stepping. I have gotten twice of what I normally do. I have a sedentary job. To improve my steps I have to start earlier in the day and more often & work on being creative. All of the posts in the group chat on how you are getting steps inspires me."

๐ŸŽ‰ Tyler is in the 100 Class Club at Fit2Live! ๐ŸŽ‰

Tyler got his start at Fit2Live in November of 2025 after his girlfriend Jordan brought him to one of our buddy events and showed him just how much fun she was having at the gym.

Safe to sayโ€ฆ he got hooked pretty quickly.

Since joining, Tyler has become incredibly consistent, regularly showing up to class 4โ€“5 times each week and putting in the work with a great attitude.

Outside of the gym, Tyler continues to stay active playing ultimate frisbee, and one of the biggest wins from his training has been being able to continue playing hard while staying injury free and feeling stronger than ever.

Thatโ€™s what functional fitness is all about.

Building strength, durability, conditioning, and resilience that carries over into the activities you love most.

Tyler has done an awesome job building consistency, improving his fitness, and becoming a great part of the Fit2Live community in a short amount of time.

โ€œIโ€™m too tired to work out.โ€

We hear this all the time.

Between work, kids, family, stress, errands, and life in general, it can feel like there is absolutely nothing left in the tank by the end of the day.

A lot of people are not too tired because they are doing too much fitness.

They are tired because they are stuck in the tired cycle.

You feel tired, so you skip your workout.

Then you move less, sleep worse, feel more stressed, lose momentum, and feel even more tired the next day.

Sound familiar? ๐Ÿ˜…

The goal is not to crush yourself in the gym when you are exhausted.

The goal is to take the next small step that helps you feel better.

Try this:

โœ… Start with 2 workouts per week
Not 6. Not โ€œevery day starting Monday.โ€ Just 2 solid workouts you can actually repeat.

โœ… Pick the easiest time to show up
Morning, lunch, evening, whatever gives you the best chance of following through.

โœ… Lower the intensity if needed
You do not have to destroy yourself to make progress. Some days, showing up and moving well is the win.

โœ… Get around people who help you stay consistent
A coach, a class, a community, and a plan make it much easier to keep going when motivation is low.

โœ… Remember that energy usually comes after you start
You may not feel energized before the workout. But most people feel better after they move.

Even 2 to 3 workouts a week can help:

Boost your energy, improve your mood, clear your head, support better sleep, build momentum.

๐ŸŽ‰ Steph is in the 250 Class Club at Fit2Live! ๐ŸŽ‰

A huge shoutout to Steph on hitting the 250 class milestone at Fit2Live!

Steph got her start at Fit2Live in May of 2024 looking for more accountability, structure, and coaching to help her move well and stay consistent with her fitness.

Fast forward and she has absolutely embraced the process.

Steph is an aerialist, rock climber, therapist, and busy mom who somehow still finds time to consistently prioritize her health and fitness.

She brings focus, determination, and a great attitude to every class she attends.

Along the way, Steph has continued to navigate previous injuries with patience and smart training while building more strength, confidence, and resilience in the gym.

She originally came to Fit2Live wanting:
โœ… Better movement quality
โœ… More consistency
โœ… Coaching and accountability
โœ… A supportive community

Over the last couple years she has built exactly that.

Steph continues to chase some awesome goals, including returning to her old running routine and even starting to train for a marathon!

250 classes is a huge accomplishment and a reflection of Stephโ€™s consistency, hard work, and commitment to long-term health and fitness.

Let's give a big shout out to everyone who made the May committed clubs! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

These members showed up to Fit2Live class at least 16 times in the month of May.

Our Personal Training committed clubbers made it to at least 8 sessions in the month.

Our Masters committed club is for our masters class members who made it to 8 classes in a month!

These members stayed on top of their fitness in a busy month of May.

Way to stay on top of your health and fitness everyone!

Let's give a big shout out to this monthโ€™s member of the month Johanna Grum!

Johanna is quietly focused, incredibly hardworking, and an endurance loving 6am class regular.

Johanna got her start at Fit2Live in the fall of 2023 looking to add more strength and overall fitness to support her active lifestyle and running routine. Since then, she has become a staple of the 6am crew, consistently showing up early in the morning and putting in the work day after day.

Johanna is an avid runner, regularly tackling 5Ks, 10Ks, and plenty of half marathons and a full marathon while also balancing a demanding engineering career and coaching local high school track and field athletes.

She added Nutrition and Wellness Coaching in the summer of 2024 to further improve her energy, recovery, and performance, and the results have been impressive.

Johanna recently completed her first Fall Brawl competition and is quickly approaching the 500 Class Club at Fit2Live!

For these reasons and many more, Johanna has been chosen as our Member of the Month!

Tell us a little about yourself, where youโ€™re from, what you do outside of Fit2Live, family, hobbies, etc.

I was born & raised in Ann Arbor, attended UofM, and was lucky enough to find a job as a structural engineer in town. Iโ€™m a member of the UMS Choral Union, an assistant track & field coach at a local high school, and play on a couple of rec volleyball teams.

When and why did you get started at Fit2Live?

I started in early 2024 on the โ€œpersistentโ€ recommendation of my coworker. I gave it a try and ended up enjoying it far more than I could have anticipated.

What do you like most about Fit2Live, what keeps you coming back?

Hands down, the community. Everyone is extremely supportive of one another and very welcoming to new members. I also love the gymโ€™s stance on scalability and doing the best you can on any given day. Lastly, Iโ€™m a huge fan of how every workout is difficult.

For more than a decade, EJ has been showing us what consistency looks like.

Since joining Fit2Live in 2013, she's accumulated thousands of workouts, countless coaching hours, and an immeasurable impact on the people around her.

Whether she's coaching a class, helping build healthier nutrition habits, leading a personal training session, or simply offering a word of encouragement, EJ has a way of making all of us feel supported, capable, and cared for. ๐Ÿ™Œ
