The official page of the University of Michigan Fencing Club, back-to-back national champions. We are co-ed UM club sport open to everyone.

We are always recruiting new members, regardless of experience or commitment level. Since we are not a varsity sport, members vary wildly in both respects. Michigan is a member of the Midwestern Fencing Conference (MFC) and our travel squad consistently places in the top five clubs in the nation and competes on a par with many Division I varsity squads. The club is entirely student-run, and we dep

MIDWEST FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022 ~
Congratulations to both our Men’s and Women’s squads for winning the overall gold and for podium finishes in every single event! Collectively, we brought home 4 squad golds medals, 2 squad silver medals, 4 individual golds, 3 individual silvers, and 4 individual bronze!
Thank you to everyone who made MFCs successful, from setting up and tearing down to watching, supporting, participating, and fencing. As always, GO BLUE!

The Midwest Fencing Championships begin on Saturday, hosted right here at the University of Michigan!
Come see us fence at one of the biggest tournaments of the season at the Intramural Sports Building, anytime between 8am - 6pm over the weekend.
This event is open to the public (for free) and we look forward to having you join us for a weekend full of fencing! Go Blue!

Reasons you should consider donating:

We literally meet up thrice a week to legally stab our friends, and travel on the weekends to legally stab strangers.

We’re quite good at aforementioned stabbage. We consistently place within the top five clubs in the nation and compete on par with many Division I varsity squads. We were the 2019 USACFC College Fencing National Champions, and this marked our fourth National Championship out of the previous 5 years!

We provide a barrier-free coliseum to an otherwise expensive sport.

Throughout the day, any student who donates $25 of more will be matched $25 by the university, and any non-student first-time donor who donates $50 or more will be matched $50!

Your donations will help continue all of this. No, literally, donations and member dues (waived for new members!) is how we’re funded :)
