So, some may remember back at the beginning of April, the House of Blades pooled money and won a charity auction by SIGI Forge. Today the swords that we won arrived at our club!

Thank you to Sigi for putting on this auction, funds for which went to charities to help the people of Ukraine. We are honored to receive these amazing swords and will treasure them!

A few of our members pooled money and participated in an auction for charity that Sigi Forge put on for April Fools day, and we are very excited be one of the winners! We got to select a charity to donate money to, with the rule of selecting one that would assist Ukraine in their struggle for their freedom and right to exist.

Our parent organization has done a lot to help out kids in need wherever they can, and so we thought it fitting to donate money to a similar cause for this auction. For that reason we selected the Save the Children charity and donated to their fund that helps children affected by the war in Ukraine.

We at House of Blades are very proud to make this donation to help those in need, and are very excited to see these awesome swords and.... sword-like-objects! We'll have them on display at the club and may even take them around to events for people to experience! Huge thank you to SIGI Forge for throwing this contest together!

Our April Fools Yeahbutt/Dumptruck charity auction has been concluded and we would like to express our gratitude to everyone for their generous bids.

As it sometimes happens, things took an unexpected turn in the end due to FB and its special way of treating comments - there was a mixup of winners (two practically same bids at the time of closure, one in PM and one which was lost in comments due to algorithms) and since we didn't want to make a bad decision, we offered both that we could make another Yeahbutt and Moldau for them to which they agreed :)

That means that more than 4000€ have been already transfered towards Care.org and Save the Children organizations. Dear winners - Aaron Labertew&House of Blades and Anonymous Bidder, we would like to sincerely thank you for your generous donations. We believe you'll love all the 2x3 special SIGI swords which will soon embark your way in return. Martin, who has been with us for almost 4 years now, a Senior in Production dept. will make sure of it!

Today we will be looking at the age-old game of Palcaty!

Palcaty originated as a Polish stick fighting game in the late 1600s to help individuals develop the necessary skills of fighting with a saber.
