Friends of Ankeny Miracle Park/Inclusive Playground/Miracle League Field Ankeny Miracle Park is the All-Inclusive Playground & Miracle League Field facility in Ankeny.

Ankeny Miracle Park is located in Hawkeye Park next to Terrace Elementary School and provides non-competitive co-ed Miracle League baseball leagues for children and adults with special needs, volunteer Buddies to assist and protect players during play, an obstacle-free accessible ball field surface, and an over 14,000 square foot sized all-inclusive playground that includes accessible equipment, e

quipment often found at other playgrounds, and equipment that encourages children of all abilities to play together.

Ankeny Kiwanis Club -- lead volunteer group/program sponsor of Ankeny Miracle League -- has some long-time enthusiastic volunteers... including Stoner, our AMAZING, *inventive* youth league pitcher! Tom pitches for ALL youth league/morning games (unless he's cheering on Iowa State Cyclone Football Team in the fall!)!

Here, Tom's pulled one of his favorite pranks: pitching a baseball that's connected by elastic to Tom's hand... He fooled ball player Cole into swinging at it just as the ball pulled back to Tom! 😆😂 (We think Coach Tim encouraged Tom to play the prank on his son... 😆)

It's all about the FUN in Miracle League, and volunteers make it happen!!

We're sorry the weather only cooperated for today's first game. *Many thanks* go to a fantastic group of volunteer buddies/Angels in the Outfield, Ankeny Professional Firefighters Local 4814!!! 🌟✨

👀 Check out the terrific tee shirts they created/wore with their own Angels in the Outfield design! So cool!! 😲🤩

✨ A few more firefighters came over from Ankeny Fire Department's nearby station to help with later games ✨...but rain hit. All of these heroes even had a tent set up with giveaways, including temporary tattoos and plastic firefighter hats they'd created! 🎉❤️

✨ We're told Ankeny Professional Firefighters Local 4814 will be back.
