And just like that, what were once the little 11U Ankeny Generals are now the graduated 14U Ankeny Generals. This team has grown tremendously over the years. From the kids wearing temporary tattoos and face paint to young men the size of adults. We’ve had our ups and downs and changes over the years, but this group right here is special.

This weekend they played seven games over three days including three today and ended up runner up in the silver bracket. Couldn’t be prouder of their effort, maturity, and growth.

Best of luck in everything that comes next Cooper, Clark, Max, Jack, Weston, Tryce, Logan, Levi, Gavin, Cam, Landen, and Riley!

And now a message from Coach Zac:

Let me tell you about these 12U Ankeny Generals ... They got punched in the mouth on day 1 of the State Tournament but it didn’t knock them down. They bounced off the ropes and counter punched all the way to the Championship, AND WON IT!!!

With a heat index of 110°, and going through multiple cases of water, Gatorade, (and a few bottles of baby powder 😅)- they pulled it off and put a nice little cherry on top to end the season. Beyond proud of these boys and all they have accomplished over the years!

The 14U Ankeny Generals went 2-0 on the day and advanced to Monday. In game 2 the Generals homered three times including TWO grand slams. Both Jack and Cam hit grand slams and Max added a solo shot in the top of the 2nd. The Generals will play tomorrow at 10:30 for a spot in the silver bracket championship game.
