We are at Happy Acres Campground in Angola Indiana for their 1st weekend of the season! This is one of our favorite spots to visit! Friday gave us a rainy afternoon to set camp and made for an early night. Saturday brought us a different situation. Nice weather and warmer. A great day to enjoy this great place!

First of all, I need to mention the incredible people here. The owners are amazing people that are regularly seen stopping to talk to everyone bringing both spirited and sincere conversations. Their story is very interesting to hear! You also have Amy in the office and on the grounds with a smile and honestly caring about your visit being enjoyable. Then you have Patric and Patty of "Travels With Delaney" on YouTube. They are 2 of the most helpful and kind people you will ever encounter! Look them up and you will see what I am talking about.

Now to what you want to know... This place has about 50 seasonal sites, a lot of weekend sites with various levels of utilities, and there are 6 cabins that you can rent. Once settled in, there are plenty of things to keep you busy. They have 2 ponds to fish in (catch and release), a 9 hole disk golf course, pickleball courts, volleyball court, dog park, hiking trails, playground, and a very nice salt water swimming pool. Not to mention they always seem to have fun activities planned and theme weekends!

I have received messages from the powers that be and evidently this page has violated some community standard. They could not specify said standard or violation. Infact, they sent a "no violations detected" message. Yet they have placed restrictions on the page. None of the posts or content violated anything. Rather, the posts were all acceptable for family viewing. Not like most of the posts made within the last few years by those making the rules.

That being said, there will be another page coming soon. It will be private and only acceptable by invitation. Thank you to all that have followed us!

Christmas is coming quickly! I decided to advertise some items here again and let you folks in on the deals. I will be adding items as the days go.

First off are these Arcoroc knife sharpening stones by Chris Adams. They come with an angled base that has no slip rubber feet. These 5 inch long stones have 2 sides, a medium and fine for getting your knives to a good working edge. These have been sold out for a couple of months and just became available to us again!

These likely won't last long at just $10. Let me know if you are interested in one or more of these for the outdoor or knife enthusiast in your life. (Yes, I will give discounts for purchases of 5 or more.)

Imagine giving something personally engraved for the happy couple. Names, designs, dates, or whatever they might like to have on any number of items for their home.
