Here we have some Trine players working on the synthetic ice near campus.

First drill we have a reactionary drill simulating a rebound in the front of the net. We added a stick lift to it to add pressure to battle for the puck and get the puck off the stick quickly and effectively.

Second drill is working a quick catch and release to change the angle of your shot from pulling it in to your body and also going outside of your body.

Congratulations to cofounder of Dynamic Hockey Development, LLC Russell Barone for accepting a coaching job at a prep school named Gilmour academy in Gates Mills, Ohio. Russell will be an assistant coach/scout and will continue DHD at Gilmour providing on/off ice skill development for the Lancers program. 🏒 # @ Gilmour Academy

Last week of July camp and the boys have had a lot of improvement this past month and its been awesome to witness the amount of hard work and drive they have been putting into getting better each and every skate on and off the ice!

Here in this drill we have the boys doing a heal cut from right to left, to a quick slip under while simultaneously performing a mohawk to open your body up to the play and giving yourself options with the puck wether that be through the middle of the ice, walking the blue line or even doing a sharp turn towards the boards to alleviate pressure from the backside.

This drill is great to do with all ages and has a ton of different variations that go along with it.

Last week of July camp started today and the boys have had a lot of improvement this past month. Still lots to work on but we have to build that foundation of skills before everything else can be implemented.

Here we have the players doing a heal cut going right to left with a slip under all while performing a mohawk simultaneously to open their bodies up to the play and always giving themselves options with the puck. Can incorporate a bunch of variations with this drill too!

Our 11:00 Am workout group was buzzin today with stride extensions, kettle bell swings, and sled pushes. Only a few more weeks till tryouts.

Week 2 of camps has been going great. Here we have the boys performing a punch fake around the attacking triangle then a quick slip under around the second stick for a weight transferred shot.
