The final day of the 2026 “Advanced Rigging for Rope Rescue” program has officially wrapped up. Day 4 challenged our 1st year attendees with tower climbs and rappels, sloped highlines, drooping highlines, and the well-known “Turret Drill” — a long vertical rescue evolution conducted in the magazine shaft.
This marks the conclusion of another outstanding year of Advanced Rigging for Rope Rescue. We would like to sincerely thank our program partners, Anderson Rescue Solutions and Aliias Training, along with the North Carolina Battleship for their incredible hospitality and support throughout this program.
This year’s program brought together 48 outstanding students ranging from 1st to 3rd year participants. Thank you all for your hard work, professionalism, and willingness to think outside the box while learning the “whys” behind rope physics and advanced rescue systems.
To our cadre of instructors — thank you for your continued dedication, professionalism, and commitment to delivering high-level technical rescue training. These 11 incredible men and women, representing departments and teams from the mountains to the coast, bring a depth of knowledge, skill, and experience that makes this program truly special and difficult to replicate.
We are proud of what this program continues to build: competent rescuers, strong teamwork, and a culture committed to learning and advancing the technical rescue profession.
