The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and Fisher Sand and Gravel are scheduled to resume roadway construction in Angel Fire beginning July 27, from Mile Marker 272.5 to Mile Marker 276.09 on U.S. 64. Road work is expected to continue through August 7.

Construction activities will be conducted along the roadway shoulders, with intermittent single-lane closures supported by pilot-car operations as necessary.

Work will occur Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Motorists should anticipate reduced speed limits and potential delays while traveling through the designated construction zone.

Fisher Sand & Gravel and NMDOT thank the public for their patience and cooperation throughout the duration of this project.

Good afternoon,
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and Fisher Sand and Gravel would like to advise the traveling public that tomorrow, Friday, June 12, U.S. 64 will be closed between milepost 272 and near the Palo Flechado Fire Department at 10:00 a.m. to allow for construction activities and to ensure the safety of NMDOT and construction staff. This is now expected to last until around 5:30 p.m.
Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
Outside road closure hours, travelers can expect single lane closures with a pilot car operation from mile post 272.5 to mile post 276.09 during construction hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. After construction hours, a temporary traffic signal will be in place. Travelers can expect reduced speeds and delays during construction.

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, there will be a 24/7 single-lane, pilot car operation on NM 434 in Mora County near Coyote Creek. This work will occur from milepost 21.103 to milepost 23.319

Travelers can expect lower speeds and delays during construction. This operation is expected to last about 2.5 months. Fisher Sand and Gravel and the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.
