Trish Gent / Wellness Empowerment Coaching RN | Identity & Nervous System Coach for high-capacity women navigating perfectionism That's when I discovered the missing piece: nervous system regulation.

ABOUT WELLNESS EMPOWERMENT COACHING

I'm Trish Gent, an integrative life coach who helps perfectionists, people-pleasers, and overthinkers break free from chronic stress and constant overthinking. For over two decades, I worked as a registered nurse, checking every box and building a life that looked successful on paper. But inside, I was exhausted, anxious, and running on fumes—doing everything "

right" and still waking up with anxiety that wouldn't quit. I learned that you can't think your way out of anxiety. You can't mindset-hack your way to peace. True freedom comes from rewiring your nervous system—teaching your body it's safe to slow down, rest, and trust yourself again. Today, I blend nervous system science with Kundalini yoga practices to help high-achieving women:

✓ Stop overthinking and second-guessing every decision
✓ Break free from perfectionism and people-pleasing patterns
✓ Regulate their nervous system so rest feels safe (not scary)
✓ Build grounded confidence that doesn't depend on external validation
✓ Create sustainable success without burning out

MY APPROACH:
The Freedom Framework combines nervous system science, somatic practices, Kundalini yoga, breathwork, and change management principles to create real, lasting transformation—not just temporary relief. This isn't about adding more to your plate. It's about finally feeling FREE in your own life. Ready to stop managing your anxiety and start mastering your energy? Let's connect. 💫

Aligned and Alive: Reclaiming Your Energy, Hormones & Soul Purpose

Wednesday, September 9 | 6:00–7:30 PM MST
5:00–6:30 PM PST | 8:00–9:30 PM EST

What happens when the version of you who has always held it all together… is freaking exhausted from holding it all together?

That’s part of what we’re talking about Wednesday night.

I’m joining the closing panel of The Women’s Burnout Recovery Blueprint: Energy, Hormones & Purpose, a free live online summit happening September 8–9.

And our conversation is all about what it actually means to feel aligned and alive again.

Because alignment isn’t about having your whole life figured out.

It’s not about finding the perfect morning routine, fixing yourself, or becoming so “regulated” that nothing ever rattles you.

And it definitely isn’t another thing to get right. 😉

Sometimes alignment starts with realizing:

The way you’ve been living doesn’t fit anymore.

The pushing.
The over-responsibility.
The control.
The identity built around being the capable one everyone can count on.

Those patterns may have helped you get where you are.

But what happens when they start costing you more than they’re giving you?

That’s the conversation I’m excited to have.

We’ll share the real stories behind our own shifts — what challenged us, what changed us, and what it looks like to keep showing up for the people and purpose that matter to us without abandoning ourselves in the process.

If you’re somewhere in that weird in-between of…

“I know I can’t keep doing it this way, but I’m not totally sure what comes next…”

Come hang out with us.

Free to attend. I’d love to see you there.

For a long time, I thought burnout meant I was working too much.

So the solution seemed pretty obvious:

Work less.

Take a bath.
Read a book for fun.
Go for a walk.
Get a massage.
Take the vacation.

You know… the watered-down version of “self-care.”

And I checked the boxes.

But here was the problem:

It didn’t work.

I could stop working and still be “on.”

My body could be sitting on the couch while my brain was solving problems, replaying conversations, planning tomorrow, and wondering what I forgot to do today.

Eventually, I realized there was much more going on.

Burnout wasn’t only exhaustion from doing too much.

It was exposing how disconnected I had become from myself.

Physically.
Mentally.
Emotionally.
Spiritually.

For years, I had gotten really good at overriding myself.

Push through.
Handle it.
Be responsible.
Keep going.

Until my body got louder.

Burnout is more than a signal.

It’s screaming when every other part of yourself has been silenced.

And THAT is why I’m excited to be part of The Women’s Burnout Recovery Blueprint: Energy, Hormones & Purpose, a FREE live online summit happening September 8–9.

Because burnout has many shapes.

This event brings together health practitioners, wellness experts, leadership coaches, and female entrepreneurs to talk about the different ways burnout shows up — and what it actually takes to come back to yourself.

And I’ll be joining the closing panel on Wednesday evening:

Aligned and Alive: Reclaiming Your Energy, Hormones & Soul Purpose

We’ll be talking about what happens when the identity that got you this far — the achiever, caretaker, fixer, dependable one — starts costing you more than it’s giving you.

And how you begin finding your way back to the person underneath all that responsibility.

Wednesday, September 9
6:00–7:30 PM MST
5:00–6:30 PM PST | 8:00–9:30 PM EST

Free to attend.

The Women’s Burnout Recovery Blueprint: Energy, Hormones & Purpose

FREE Live Online Summit | September 8–9, 2026

You’re probably very good at holding it all together.

You show up. You handle things. You take care of people. You keep moving.

And from the outside? You may even look like you’re doing just fine.

But inside, you’re tired.

Not I need a good night’s sleep tired.

The kind of tired that comes from being “on” for so long, you’re not even sure what it would feel like to fully exhale.

And maybe the things that used to work — pushing harder, staying organized, being the dependable one, keeping everything under control — aren’t working anymore.

That doesn’t mean you need to try harder.

It might mean your body is asking for a different way forward.

That’s what The Women’s Burnout Recovery Blueprint is about.

For two days, health practitioners, wellness experts, leadership coaches, and female entrepreneurs are coming together to talk about what’s really underneath burnout — your energy, hormones, nervous system, identity, and sense of purpose.

Because recovery isn’t about squeezing another self-care routine onto your already ridiculous to-do list. 😉

It’s about understanding what your body has been trying to tell you.

Free to attend. Two days. Four powerful panel discussions.

Morning: 9:00–10:30 AM MST
(8:00 AM PST / 11:00 AM EST)

Evening: 6:00–7:30 PM MST
(5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST)

You don’t need another gold star for pushing through.

Maybe it’s time to create a version of success that actually feels good to live.

Thinking Out Loud ☕️

For a long time, I thought consistency came from discipline.

Set the goal.

Make the plan.

Follow through.

And to be fair…

that approach got me pretty far.

But somewhere over the last five years, something shifted.

Not because I became more disciplined.

If anything, I already had enough discipline.

What changed was my relationship with movement.

Walking stopped being something I did to prove I was taking care of myself.

It became one of the ways I actually do.

Some weeks I walk every day.

Some weeks I don’t.

The biggest difference?

I don’t make missing a day mean I’ve failed.

I just come back to it.

Lately I’ve been wondering if that’s what sustainable change actually looks like.

Not doing something perfectly.

Not keeping an unbroken streak.

Just building a relationship with yourself that’s kind enough to keep coming back.

💛 I’d love to know…

Has there been something in your life that stopped feeling like another task on your to-do list…

and became something you genuinely wanted to return to?

Thinking Out Loud ☕️

For a long time, I believed hard work could solve almost anything.

And honestly… it usually did.

It helped me earn good grades, build a career, and accomplish goals I was proud of.

Then I walked through infertility.

For the first time, I was in a situation where no amount of effort could guarantee the outcome I wanted.

So I did what I’d always done.

I researched more.
Tried harder.
Looked for the answer that would finally make things make sense.

Looking back, it makes perfect sense.

When a strategy has worked your whole life, you don’t question it.

You just keep reaching for it.

It took me a long time to realize I wasn’t only grieving what I couldn’t control.

I was also grieving the version of me who believed that if I worked hard enough, I could make almost anything happen.

That shifted something in me.

Not overnight.

But slowly, it changed how I think about success, uncertainty, and what it actually means to move through life with trust instead of constant effort.

And if I’m honest… I’m still learning that one.

💛 I’m curious…

Has there been a season in your life that challenged something you always believed about yourself?

Sometimes our greatest strengths become our default response.

For most of my life, working harder worked.

It helped me reach goals, overcome challenges, and build a life I was proud of.

So when life became more complicated than something I could solve through discipline or determination, I naturally reached for the strategy I trusted most.

I tried harder.

Looking back, I don’t judge that version of myself.

She was doing what had always worked.

But every now and then, life invites us into a season where more effort isn’t the answer.

Not because we’ve failed.

But because we’re being asked to relate to ourselves—and to life—in a different way.

For me, that shift changed far more than the challenge I was facing.

It changed how I define success.
How I approach healing.
And how I care for myself.

✨ I’m curious…

Has there been a season where what had always worked… suddenly didn’t?

There comes a point where the strategies that helped you build your life stop helping you enjoy it.

Maybe you’ve always been the dependable one.

The one who figured it out.

The one who could handle more.

For a long time, those qualities served you well.

Until they didn’t.

Maybe you’ve reached a season where working harder isn’t creating more peace.

Where achieving more isn’t making you feel more fulfilled.

Where doing everything “right” still leaves you wondering why life feels so heavy.

I know that place.

Not because I’ve studied it.

Because I’ve lived it.

One of the biggest turning points in my own life came when I realized I couldn’t effort my way through everything.

Infertility taught me that.

It was the first time I worked incredibly hard, did everything “right,” and still didn’t get the outcome I wanted.

Looking back, I wasn’t just grieving what I had lost.

I was grieving an identity.

The version of me who believed that if I worked hard enough, I could make anything happen.

That realization changed the questions I started asking.

Less...

“How do I try harder?”

“What if there’s another way?”

If you’re in a season where what used to work no longer does, I want you to know you’re not failing.

You may simply be outgrowing the patterns that got you here.

It’s been a while, so I thought I’d reintroduce myself.

I’m Trish (yes still that hasn’t changed)!

I spent over 20 years as a registered nurse working in critical care, clinical research, leadership, and home care. Looking back, I realize there were two things I loved most about nursing: solving problems and advocating for people. Funny enough, those are still the foundation of my work today.

For years, I thought anxiety and perfectionism were simply part of my personality. I believed this was just who I was.

Then I heard something that challenged everything I believed:

“You can change your personality.”

Honestly, I didn’t believe it.

But that question stayed with me.

As I began learning about the nervous system, I realized something I had never considered before. Maybe perfectionism wasn’t my personality. Maybe it was a survival pattern my body had learned.

I didn’t realize it then, but that shift in perspective would change the trajectory of my life.

Today, I help high-capacity women understand the patterns that have shaped who they believe they are—so they can stop fighting themselves and start creating change from a different place.

If you’ve been following me for a while, thank you for being here.

If you’re new, welcome. I hope this page gives you a different way of thinking about yourself and what’s actually possible.

🌟If you’re curious where to start, my free interactive tool, Why Are You Stuck?, is linked in my bio. It’s designed to help you begin exploring the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

I am re-reading The Body Keeps the Score for book club, and highlighted a pattern I see everywhere.

When systems are overwhelmed, they tend to look for an individual flaw.

Weakness.
Lack of resilience.
Inability to cope.

It’s easier to blame the person than to take responsibility for the conditions that broke them.

Once you see it, it’s hard to unsee.

We see it in healthcare.
In workplaces.
In families.
In relationships.

Nurses know this story well.
Burned out? You’re not resilient enough.
Overwhelmed? Maybe you’re not cut out for this.
Struggling with what you’ve witnessed? That’s just part of the job.

I see it with grief, too — especially losses that don’t fit neatly into cultural scripts. The subtle expectation to “find meaning,” “move on,” or turn pain into a personal growth project… as if the pain itself is a failure.

Here’s the pattern:
A systemic problem gets reframed as an individual moral failing — and all responsibility lands on the person who’s already carrying too much.

The thing is, when your body has been holding years of overwork, impossible standards, and quiet blame, you can’t just think your way out of it.

This is why I work with nervous system regulation — not just mindset.
Your body is still carrying what the system never made space for.

And that requires body-level work to shift.
