Quick reminder, meeting tonight at the Hidden Inn in South Kortright at 6:30.

Anyone ever try to take the trail from Bovina to Roxbury and get to the drifts on the side of Plattekill and decide to turn around? Ever wonder how those drifts get smoothed out? Jobs not for the faint of heart! Huge thanks to the crazy crew that maintains that area, and everyone else that helps out.

Trails closed! Pretty good year but you always wish for more. Forecast is terrible (for snow lovers) for the next week but it’s still March and you never know if we’ll get that big storm.

The next era of racers all showed up and put on the start of the show yesterday day was able to wrangler up out of the 20 that started the show.
Thank you!! All that came out and raced and watched the show 173 sleds total and 364 entries!!!! What a great day see you all at the next one!! Flood us with your pictures and you maybe on our next poster.

Trails are still open, maybe 1” of snow overnight to refresh the looks. Hills still in decent shape. Rr tracks really thin, especially Stamford to Bloomville. That area should be avoided as there are huge bare spots.

What an amazing day! Sorry for the parking issues, and how late the racing went. Just way more sleds and spectators than we anticipated. 346 sled entries! Guess we’re doing something right. Hope everyone had a good time! Thank you for everyone’s support.

Sorry little late on post but track is done trails coming to track are marked and groomed follow the orange stakes and signs that say “race” who’s all ready see you before 11 and if you all plan on racing

A couple inches here, a couple inches there. Getting refreshers almost daily lately, but the stronger sun is doing it's damage too. Getting to that time of year where the hills have great snow but the valleys (think railroad tracks) are melting out. Get out and enjoy it soon, looks like warmer weather coming. HUGE thanks to Matt V from Platekill Mtn. who used their groomer and groomed from Platty to the Roxbury golf course Tuesday night, then yesterday went all the way from Platty to Bovina, down to the RR tracks, all the way to Roxbury on the tracks, and back to Platty.

Trails are open Mother Nature giving us some more snow for our trails and race track, gotta get the new snow worked the track and get parking lot plowed and spectator area set up for safe viewing and will slick off the sleigh riding hill so you can compete over there as well.
Sometime before Saturday morning trail will be posted “race” from the harpersfield intersection on the rail trail (s75a trail marker) take that up use caution in place’s construction may have started on parts of trail and use caution also when in Eklunds farm machinery yard will have race signs placed throughout trail follow them cross in front of Eklund’s ride shoulder of Terry road to parking lot enjoy the ride and day! Trail will be groomed

Trails open! Ended up with a couple inches yesterday and/or last night. Valleys are going to be thin, take it easy there, especially in the fields. The hills should have pretty good snow. Don't expect midwinter conditions. Expect water holes to have opened up and icy spots. RR tracks from Roxbury to Fleischmann's will stay closed.

Mile hill snow drags 2026:
Couple of us got together over weekend and worked track set up and the snow again, snow was like mashed potatoes so we got it close yesterday needed some winter air we got that today, Jeff stopped in tonight and worked it again, looking fast tonight a little more touch up tomorrow and track is done flat and fast.

The answer to previous mile hill post on guess what we building is a sleigh riding hill for the kids or who ever bring your sleigh riding sleds and break the day up and enjoy a day of racing or watching snowmobiles or sleighs down the hill we made just remember what goes down the hill has to come back up
