This is Al. We've know AL for quite a few years. AL came to us and basically said that he wanted a new life. He had tons of issues going on with him. Well he came to the gym one Sunday after Church(which showing up is the first and hardest step). He asked what did he need to do to live a better life. We went over eating, fitness programming and awareness. I could tell he wasn't picking up what I was putting down . Lol. A week later AL came to me at church and told me he cut a lot of things from his meals and he felt a lot better. The following Monday he was at the gym. I guarantee if anyone is gonna be at 360 F&S, it's gonna be Al. I actually had to force him to take rest days. Here's his story.
Let me introduce myself. I am Al Pearce, 70 years old. Still work everyday and ride a Harley whenever I get the time.
Life has been good.
Flew to Alaska in june 2012 and picked up a Harley Road King(Blue Sky) and rode it to South Carolina,4853 miles.
I have had a few bumps in the road though The big one was congestive heart failure then I followed up that one with a motorcycle wreck.
I quit being as active as I had been and ate too much comfort food so I ended up getting very uncomfortable.
Javis Pickens and I go to church together and he started coaching me in my lifestyle decisions.
First he told me he counldn't fix in the gym what I messed up in a restuarant.
Told me to learn to cook. Start eating healthy and get off soft drinks, bread, potatoes and limit fried foods.
Then a week after that I started at 360 Fit .I was hurting
So far I have lost 40 pounds,25 inches, and reversed the effects of Congetive heart failure, arthiritus, polio. and laziness
I had not been able to throw my right leg over the saddle for several years because of arthiritis but now I get on from either side with ease.
Congestive heart failure left me sensitive to temp changes and I was cold when it was under 60 degrees. Died from the heat over 80. No longer a problem. I de down to freezing and over 100 degrees without suffering.
I have learned to cook.People ask me how my dog is doing while I am learning to cook. I told them I don't have a dog and they say he is lucky.
A lot of life style changes and new friends had brought me through so much. thank God and Crossfit.
