We've been partnered with Bloom Madison County for 3 years to offer free yoga in our community at The Jetty Center Farm and the Anderson Farmers Market.
One thing I've learned over the last 5ish or so years of teaching is that things take time. It takes time to learn yoga and after 5 years I'm still only accessing maybe a tiny drop of what all there is in this world. It takes time to build a community that wants to practice with you. It can be so disheartening to schedule class after class and have only 1 or no people show up. Or to get requests for different things and then never again see the requesters. It definitely feeds the imposter syndrome and self doubt and all the things.
It takes time. Here we are 3 years later. Not one moment has Anna or Olivia been dissuaded from our partnership by the way. Support your people. It keeps them afloat more than you think. ♥️
Another big lesson I have learned and continue to learn over and over is to release attachment. Release attachment of the way you think things are supposed to be and allow yourself to experience the way things are.
The way things are, are pretty magical and perfect, and chaotic and exhausting and exactly as they are meant to be.
Thank you for showing up with me and accepting me and my family just the way we are. 🙏
