🏀 AKademy Next Level 🏋🏻‍♀️
This group is for High School players who want to transform their abilities in order to compete at the next level. The “next level” for each player may mean something different: Varsity to College, JV to Varsity, C-Team to JV, but the standard of coaching in these sessions will be exactly what helps challenge each player to find where their weaknesses are and transform them into strengths. Several players in this program have moved on to play at the collegiate level.

🏀 AKademy Rising 🏋🏻‍♀️
This group is for 6th - 8th grade basketball players pursuing stronger roles on their school or comp teams. It is a summer long program that goes in-depth into helping players improve confidence, athleticism, fundamental skills & understanding of the game.

🗓️ Starts May 26th - runs daily - August 18th
📍 Basketball sessions at the O’Malley Center
📍 Strength and conditioning sessions

What an incredibly special week to have the opportunity to coach Nome’s annual Iditarod week spring break basketball camp!

I love this place and its people.
Getting to see some of the same kids and their growth year over year is truly special, and the kids this week absolutely crushed it!!

There are so many people to thank for making this opportunity happen, starting with Nome Eskimo Community and for sponsoring and organizing camp.

Thank you .stiles for sharing that there was a coach needed for this week!

Then there was saving Esther and I with a beyond kind vehicle loan so we didn’t have to freeze our butts every day walking to the gym.

We loved meeting Diana, the editor of the Nome Nugget (oldest newspaper in Alaska), and our bnb host, and Trinh who has the best coffee in Nome.

Nome is truly a place built by strong community and that was on full display this week to not only all the mushers who traveled over a thousand miles, but to us simple coaches as well.

And then, an added bonus was getting to see lil sis hoop again in the Alaska famous Lonnie O’Conner tournament and some brave mushers finishing their final leg of the Iditarod!

See you again soon Nome! 🐕 🏀 Thank you for the memories.
