Congratulations to Chad Norton, Brian McDonald, and Mike Neville, Jr for going Runner-ups and Champion in the Men’s Club Championship this past weekend at Fawn Creek. 🏆

Also a huge shoutout to 10th grade Anamosa Raider, Waylon Heims, in his first club tournament appearance and finishing 15th overall. Keep an eye out for this young man in the spring when he competes for the Blue Raiders!

Former Anamosa High School 1999 state golf champion Mike Neville, left, claimed the Fawn Creek men’s club tournament championship today carding a two-day total of two-under par 142 (72-70) to edge past runner-up Chad Norton who was one stroke back with a one-under par 143 (73-70). Norton had tied with Brian McDonald (72-71) for second overall but claimed the runner-up spot due to a card back.

Congratulations to Megan Sailer (80) and Hannah Houska (78) for going Runner-up and Champion in the 18 hole Ladies Club Championship.

Rounding out the Championship flight; Lynette Seaton (81), Kim Kieckhaefer (82), and Nancy Updegraff (84).

Smaller field this year but these ladies showed up and showed out! Thank you all for participating in this flighted event.

A great day for the Fawn Creek team at the Men’s 3 Rivers Finals Tournament hosted by Preston Valley Golf. ⛳️

The team came three strokes short of Springbrook Country Club to finish runner-up🥈in the team standings.

Congratulations to Brian McDonald on an outstanding round and a runner-up finish overall with a 68! 👏🏼

Mother Nature has not been on our side some Friday nights this year… 🌺😔

With the rain forecasted to start again this evening, couples golf has been cancelled for tonight. As of now, carts are still allowed on the course. If it doesn't rain, the course will still be open for golf.

We will work to add another Couples to the calendar soon.

Reminder! The club tournament is next weekend. Sign-up sheets are up in the clubhouse.

Shout out to these future 7th grade Anamosa Raiders, Kalan Buchholtz and Kael Hora, who spent their Saturday morning and early afternoon helping at Fawn Creek. They both could join the grounds crew when they’re old enough!

And a special ‘thank you’ to Jeff and Judy Coil, Kim Kieckhaefer, Lynette Seaton, Bill Krapfl, Kevin and Paige Moore, Gary Heir, Keegan Buchholtz, Denny Farley and grandson, Gary Weers, Eric Ries, Charlie Porter, Brandon Wahl, and John Dirks for all of your hard work today.
