Remember a while back when we announced that Emily was officially Anaconda Bicycles full time brake bedder-inner?

Well, that didn't last long. We bought a machine 😂

We're pretty stoked to add a professional brake bedding machine to the shop. Properly bedded brakes = better stopping power, more consistent brake feel, less noise, squealing, and vibration, and new pads and rotors working like they're supposed to.

Sure, you can accomplish the same thing by ripping up and down the street doing a bunch of hard stops. But this lets us get a really consistent bed-in in a controlled setting, without terrorizing downtown Anaconda.

New pads or rotors? Or just don't feel like doing it yourself? Bring your bike by and we'll machine bed your brakes for $10. All brake pad installs and new MTB builds get this treatment.

Emily has officially been replaced by a machine.

ATS and Anaconda Bicycles are switching up this week's scheduled gravel ride to a group MTB ride on the COPPER LINK!

This will be a great ride for all abilities. We will meet in front of Anaconda Bicycles at 6:00 p.m. or feel free to join us at the Sunnyside Copper Link trailhead at 6:15pm.

We will ride East towards Birch Street with the option to turn around and ride back. This ride, going both directions, will be about 6 miles with 800 ft of elevation gain.
For those of who who want to join one way only- expect 3 miles and 400 ft of elevation gain.

This is a no-drop, welcoming ride for all! If you’re newer to mountain biking, we’re happy to ride with you, share some tips, and have some fun along the way.

Helmets Required.

Smeltermen's Day is almost here!

Anaconda Bicycles is excited to be part of this year's Smeltermen's Day this Friday from 9am- 3pm!

Ride your bike and stop by our Sidewalk Sale for discounted Anaconda Bicycles swag, then head over to our Bike Adventure Zone to put your riding skills to the test! The skills course will be set up on the closed street between Chestnut and Birch Streets and is fun for riders of all ages and abilities.

What an incredible evening.

This week, the Anaconda Trail Society and Anaconda Bicycles welcomed riders for the first community group ride on Anaconda's newest trails.

We started on the new Stucky Ridge Trails, built by DeWolf Trailworx , then made our way over to Copper Link, built by Chase & Chris . It was an awesome opportunity to experience these new trail additions together.

The best part wasn't necessarily the trails, it was the people. Riders came from Anaconda and Butte, experienced mountain bikers rode alongside those very new to riding, and everyone encouraged one another along the way.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so memorable. Here's to many more rides, new friendships, and sharing these trails together!

Thanks to the Anaconda Deer Lodge County and NRDP for implementing the first bit of the Open Lands Trails & Recreation Plan, and of course the volunteers who helped bring some of these trails to life!

Anaconda Bicycles first Ladies Beginner MTB Clinic is in the books!

We were blown away by the turnout and all the smiling faces. We came together hoping to learn a little something, and we hope everyone left with even more than that.

There's something special about women supporting women life and in a sport that can feel pretty intimidating when you're just getting started. Whether you're trying to keep up with your riding partner, or tackle some gnarly features, we all have to start somewhere.

And what better way to do it than with new friends, a little glitter✨, and plenty of "WOO HOO's!"

Thanks to everyone who came out to ride and play. Are we professional coaches? Nah. But we've picked up a few basics along the way that we wanted to share.

A special shoutout to Katie for bringing the language and skills drills she's learned through the ladies clinics she's attended over the years.
