Recent research found that more than 70% of children are pulled from swim lessons before they become truly water competent ā€” meaning many stop before mastering critical lifesaving skills like floating, treading water, swimming longer distances, and safely recovering in the water. ļæ¼

The American Red Cross also reports that 61% of children cannot perform basic swim safety skills that could help save their life in an emergency. ļæ¼
