This is not an easy announcement for us to make. After a lot of thought, we have made the difficult decision that Bulls On Main will not return due to conflicting dates.
Bulls On Main was never just another event on the calendar. It was something we poured an incredible amount of our time, energy, heart, and personal commitment into because we believed Amory deserved an event that people would talk about, look forward to, and be proud to call their own.
For months, we spent nights, weekends, and time away from our own businesses and families making phone calls, meeting with sponsors, raising money, coordinating contestants and entertainment, working through logistics, arranging equipment, handling permits, planning safety, organizing volunteers, setting up, cleaning up, and solving the hundreds of problems that come with producing an event of this size.
And we did it for one very important reason:
We wanted Bulls On Main to remain FREE for our community.
From the beginning, our goal was to bring something to Downtown Amory that families could enjoy together without having to buy a ticket just to walk through the gate. Making an event of this magnitude free was not easy. It required tremendous support from our sponsors and an enormous amount of work from the people behind the scenes.
None of that would have been possible without our sponsors. Many businesses and individuals believed in our vision and stepped up year after year to help us cover the tremendous expense involved in producing Bulls On Main. To every sponsor who wrote a check, donated equipment, provided services, or simply told us, “Whatever you need,” thank you. You helped make something special possible for this community.
And to everyone who packed Downtown Amory and supported Bulls On Main—thank you for showing up. Seeing the streets full of people, hearing the crowd, watching kids experience the rodeo, and seeing our downtown come alive are memories we will carry with us for a very long time.
There is a tremendous amount of pride in knowing that we took an idea, worked countless hours to make it happen, and created something that became one of the largest and most exciting events our community has experienced.
It has been an incredible ride, and one we will never forget.
