Amherst Golf Club ladies faired well in the Western Mass Women’s Golf Association event at Franconia CC yesterday.

Sue Teasley won the A flight with a 78. Kathy Horrigan tied for 2nd with a 79. Amazing!! 🙌🙌

Jen Hixon won the B flight with a 93. Hilary Matheson was 3rd with a 96. Fantastic!! 🙌🙌

Claire Christopher’s won the C flight with a 97. Linda Davis Delano was third at 103. Wow!! 🙌🙌

Kudos to our AGC women for some great individual golf rounds. Keep it up!! 💚⛳️

After the weekly competition this afternoon, 8+ Biggest Losers enjoyed a big bag of Doritos in honor of the late Paul Torpey, who passed 2 years ago today. Some great golfing and aviation stories were shared about our friend Paul as the chips disappeared … RIP Torp! 💚⛳️

Congrats to Megan Donnelly, Susan Teasley, Leslie Lyness and Kathy Horrigan (L to R) on their 3rd place finish for low Gross in MassGolf’s Dolly Sullivan Team Best Ball tournament. They were also low gross in their Monday afternoon shotgun. The Amherst Golf Club team was one of the 75 from clubs across the Commonwealth that competed in the tournament, held at The Haven Country Club in Boylston, MA on August 24 & 25, within three shotgun starts. 💚⛳️

Our Pro’s Choice ABCD event this AM was a Cha Cha Cha format. Scoring consisted of 1 net BB on the first hole, 2 net BB on the 2nd hole and 3 net BB on the 3rd hole and keep repeating this rotation for all 18 holes. CHA CHA CHA!!! 💚⛳️

Congrats to Steve Hallquist, John Nelson, Barbara Los and Claudia Gere for low Net, and to the field in general for tolerating the rain!

Amherst Golf Club is hosting our inaugural Mixed Open Championship on Sunday Sept 6th of Labor Day weekend. Your 2-person team will play better ball on the 1st nine and then alternating shot on the 2nd nine. Gross and Net prizes will be awarded.

Chase Lashway edged Jay Morgan by a stroke to win the Men’s President’s Cup with a 78 gross. Meanwhile, Jim Serhant was low net and took the Vice President’s Cup. … the activities on the last hole were appreciated from the shade today by a white-tailed deer! 💚⛳️

Bonnie May won the Women’s President’s Cup on Saturday Aug 8th with the low net of 67. Michelle Morgan won gross with a 78, and Virginia Snopek was the 9-hole champion with a net 35. 💚⛳️
