Wow, haven't been on this page in a year! So since I took a semester off and I know theres a lot of out-dated things on this page, I decided to make a new page for this year's classes. The page is called

Group Fit with Julia and the picture is UMass Campus Recreation(just in case you want to make sure its the right one!!)

So from now on all posts for my classes will be on there! :) Thanks!

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful, relaxing long weekend! Unfortunately, I have some bad news :/

Wednesday I had to rush to the ER and discovered that I had appendicitis. Wednesday night, at around 10pm, I had surgery and got my angry appendix removed (yay!)
While I'm in recovery now and allowed to do easy, non-strenuous things, I am not ready or cleared to teach for about 3-4 weeks.
So, I hate to say I will not be teaching for the next few weeks :( I have some wonderful subs lined up for kickboxing and spinning, so just because I'm not there doesn't mean you can't be! They'll give you just as awesome of a workout as you've been showing me the past couple weeks!

I'll miss you all and can't wait to get back on my feet. so I'll do my best to make a speedy and full recovery! :) Thank you all for understanding and I hope to see you ASAP! :)

Nothing is better than when a new kicker comes up and talks about how awesome and positive the vibes are in class- that's not me- that's YOU guys! You keep me going and keep me positive even on my worst days- so thanks to all of you for keeping my chin up and my heart in it when I'm feeling down!!

I love waking up in the morning, dragging my butt out of bed and over to the rec center, and seeing a crowd at 6:15! Thank you to everyone who made it out super early- what a great way to start the day! :)

Holy moly! This morning was absolutely AMAZING- so great to see so many people make it out for 6:15 am! We all kicked butt- and everyone's energy was incredible! Thank you for that lovely wake up call :)

Don't forget! SPINNING this evening at 4pm! Super pumped for an old school throwback playlist today- so many fun tracks for us! See ya there :)

Happy first day of the semester everyone! You know what that means- first day of group fitness classes!

We have tons of new instructors and classes, so make sure to try something new these first few weeks! Syllabus week is a great time to sample some classes and discover new interests! :)

Here's the class times!
oh, and make sure you clear your calendar for

Kickboxing Monday at 7:30, Wednesday 6:15, Sunday 2:30

and my first semester of Spinning Wednesdays 4-5pm!

I know the schedule says 6:15 - 6:45 on Wednesday morning kick, but an adjustment was made and it's now 6:15 - 7:15 so we can get that full hour in!

Can't wait to kick the semester off on the right foot and get back in the game with you guys, I know I've missed classes and friends at the rec all summer long!

Hey all! Hope everyone is staying sane this week- I know you guys can kills these finals! (unless you didn't have any.. then you get to jump-start your summer!)

BUT, to fight off some finals stress and craziness, here's some ideas to make studying more interesting! Keep on pushing!

Just got finished with our last class of the semester.. it's crazy how fast time has flown by! Thank you all so much for sticking with me this whole semester, and for my first year at UMass Campus Recreation ! Can't wait to kick it up a knotch next semester- stay tuned because I'll be posting next semester's schedule and fun work out tips and things over the summer to keep up the good work! You guys have made this my strongest semester yet, and I can't thank each and every one of you enough for how motivated you keep me. Have an amazing summer everyone, see you soon :)

Happy Monday! With finals coming up fast and the semester drawing to a close, I know making time to get to the gym and get a good workout in is difficult. BUT that doesn't mean it's impossible to get yourself moving and work up a quick sweat! I found this article and thought it was perfff for these next ~2 weeks!

All are under 30 minutes! :)
