A note from the founder:
In the fall of 1983 the first match of what would turn out to be an annual tradition of fun, food and ping pong competition began. The first tournament was actually played over the period of several weeks in the garage of Herky Moses house. Herky, Bob, Ken and Doug Moses competed with Cousin Jim Pack and family friends and neighbors Gregg Prieto and Dave McCarty. Word of the tournament spread and everybody with a table in there basement claimed to be a ping pong guru and thus “The games begun”. The first two years were a “ping pong frenzy” as many tournaments were played and more and more players joined the fun. We finally settled on an annual format and that is what continues to this day. We have had hundreds of different players compete over the years. Players come and go and some show up year after year like clockwork. It’s been a good time and a fun tradition. The tournament has shifted venues from time to time and the 2019 games will be played on 12/27/19 at 6pm at 789 Gilmore Ave, N. Tonawanda, NY 14120. I would like to thank all players and supporters who have helped keep this tradition alive. Douglas Moses
