UMASS Climbing Team

The UMass Climbing Team is a group of awesome people who love climbing rocks- real and fake!

We are a club sports team at UMass that competes in the USA Climbing Collegiate Series. We are a club sport team at UMass that accepts anyone (experienced or not!) with an interest in climbing. Participants on our team have varying levels of experience and all have the opportunity to learn and improve while on our squad. Our mixture of experience fosters an incredible sense of community in which w

e all learn from each other. The Umass Climbing Team offers competitive and non-competitive training programs where you can have the flexibility to climb at your own pace. We wish we could meet all of you and climb with you in person but until then…..may your dynos be massive and your drop knees be spicy!!!!

NATIONALS WAS A WRAP!!

As a team we got 9th out of the 37 teams that competed! Zoo represent‼️🐅🦒🦓

We had a blast competing last month. What a great way to start the summer and end the last season for our seniors! Thank you to for putting together such a thoughtful comp.

Everyone put in a HUGE amount of effort at this comp, especially during the stress of finals and graduation season, and it’s made us more motivated than ever to repeat the grind and do better next year!

A tearful good bye and send off to our graduating seniors (and those who are still sticking around- we’re still celebrating your existence!!) 🎓

Thank you for all of the memories and allowing us a space to where we’ve met our best friends and life-long climbing partners. Climb hard in the real world everyone!! If you come back to visit the entire team will pull up with guest passes for days…🫣

Our first informational meeting of the season is tomorrow, 9/8, in the Student Union Room 471 A and B!The returning members meeting will be at 7pm and new members will be at 8pm. Come say hi and learn about our team!!

Our first practice for returning members is Monday, September 5th from 7-9pm!! Just like last year we’ll come in and climb and meet upstairs around 8:30 for stretching together.

BIG congrats to Mike and Sav for trekking it all the way to Philly to compete at Collegiate National Championships this past weekend. We are so stoked and proud of these two!
