Last but certainly not least for our Senior Spotlight is Jaylyn L!
Jaylyn has been a long-time ACAC swimmer, and it has been amazing to watch her grow over the years — not only as an athlete, but as a person. From starting in swim lessons at just 5 years old to becoming a leader and role model within our team, Jaylyn’s journey has been one built on dedication, perseverance, and trust in the process.
When did you start swimming?
“I first started swimming at 5 years old beginning with swim lessons.”
What is your favorite memory from your time with ACAC?
“The team travel meets.”
What has swimming taught you that you'll carry with you beyond the pool?
“Through swimming, I learned that growth doesn't always happen in ways you can immediately see. There were days where I felt like the work I was doing both inside and outside of the pool wasn't making a difference. But over time, I realized progress was happening even when I couldn't see it — sometimes when I least expected it. Swimming taught me to trust the process and be patient with myself.”
What accomplishment in your swim career are you most proud of?
“Not quitting! :)”
What are your plans after graduation?
“Swim for St. Cloud State University while majoring in exercise science and minoring in psychology.”
Jaylyn’s resilience, commitment, and steady determination have made a lasting impact on ACAC. We are so proud of everything she has accomplished and can’t wait to see all she achieves at the next level.
