Calling all kids and Parents! The Ames Morning Rotary Club is holding the 6th annual Kids Run for Kids. The Run will promote physical fitness among children and provide a fun-filled time for children and parents, grandparents, and guardians. Runners from 12 days old thru 12 years old are welcome to run a 1K, 2K, 3K, or 5K. Parents/grandparents/guardians/older-siblings may register to run with thei

r child. Each registered runner will get a T-shirt. Each runner will get a KRK wristband upon completion of his/her run. Net proceeds will support: 1) Police officers interactions with Ames and surrounding communities-area kids of all ages, 2) Support and advocacy to fund childhood literacy programs, 3) polio eradication world-wide, and 4) buying braces to correct clubfoot. Due to increased Covid cases in children and unvaccinated persons, Kids Run For Kids 2021 on Sunday, September 26th is being postponed.

Kids Run for Kids is being rescheduled to occur in Spring 2022, on Saturday, April 23, from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

Keep an eye out for new event details, and registration information.

For public health and safety concerns surrounding the increasing risks, exposure, and spread of Covid virus amongest children and unvaccinated persons. The Ames Morning Rotary Board had elected to postpone the September 26, 2021 Kids Run For Kids event, and planning to reschedule the event for Spring 2022. More updates and details will follow. Thank you!
