Its been a minute since I've updated this FB page. Here's what's new and what's coming this season.

We had a amazing season and I want to thank all the amazing customers who came out and hunted with me in WI and NM. We complete 109 days afield and without my loyal customers.... it wouldn't of been possible. THANK YOU.

Ill be taking a few dogs in this spring for training, conditioning and wild bird exposure on our migrating woodcock. I am also running the coverdog derby trials this spring. Reach out if you have interest. I have room to handle an extra dog or two this spring. Both trials and our wild bird program. Our window is mid March to the end of April. I will also be running a fall wild bird program as well starting August 1st running into the middle of September.

This fall will be busy. Ive added another guide to add more trips in the middle of October. We are excited to have 3 of us working together in Wisconsin. With the addition of a 3rd guide we have openings. We also have added a 3 day all inclusive grouse camp. This is best suited for a group of 4 clients. All meals, lodging, 2 guides and private ground.

This winter we will be returning to NM for quail season. It was an absolutely amazing season down there. If you've wanted to chase desert quail.... you should get in touch with me ASAP.

Boo Boo Stella Blu received her AKC Junior Hunt Title. We had a nice time out at Good Going Kennels today for the Twin Cities Viszla clubs hunt test day. Boo boo needed two passing scores to get her title. She passed on both braces today. Congrats Boo Boo. We have one more trial with CC this season and then we will be in the woods for a month chasing the king.

We are into the home stretch. We still have a couple dates available. Give me a ring to get one of the last dates in October. We will be operating until 11/15 here in WI. For November dates we will do a reduced deposit due to potentially higher rate of weather issues.

New Mexico dates available. Quail numbers look great on the ranch. December, January, & early Feb. Bob King will arrange reservations.

WI grouse opener is not far off. We have some openings yet this season. The dogs are in shape and ready to go. The dogs have been finding sharptailed grouse the last few week. We have see some brood while scouting. Looks like a good season.

I will be heading to New Mexico this winter to work with Santa Fe Guiding Co in December and January. We will be targeting Scaled quail this year. It looks to be a good year for them.

This photo was one of my favorite from our spring training. Stella is a tough dog to photograph. Most of the time the pictures are blurry or just brown blobs, lol. She's really come a long ways on a year and a half. She's taught me so much patience. It is always a work in progress with personal goals and approaches. Im thankful this little brown dog has pushed me to be a better handler.

Stella has been a challenging dog for me. She runs with her heart and runs wide open. Not what most hunters want in a grouse dog. It's what I want for clients. Bigger running dogs that cover more ground!

She covers the most round out of all my dogs. She's also been super slow to mature. I love everything about how she conducts her business. Although woodcock have been hard for her. She over runs them. She spent a whole year knocking birds. This spring I've been working hard with her. Thinking ever run, is this going to be the day she gets it? Yesterday was that day. She went 3 for 3 on her run. I'm so proud of this dog. It doesn't seem like much to some. If you knew the work I've put into her I think you'd be proud too. It's just a testimony that some dogs require more work than others. At the end of the day... keep grinding, keep setting them up for success, and keep committed to them. They will give it back in return.

Rebel is my oldest dog. Heading into her 10th season this year. She's the dog that started this journey for me. We have had so many special moments from the big pairie of Montana to the desert in AZ and NM. She was the first one to find a covey of Bues in NM. And she still dodging and ducking barbed wire fences.
