AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Peach Belt Conference released its 2025 Women's Tennis Team of Academic Distinction, presented by Barnes & Noble College, on Tuesday afternoon. Junior Madeline Barnes and sophomore Melissa Duarte from Georgia Southwestern State University earned the recognition.

Luiza Rodrigues and Luana Borini delivered a dominant 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles on Tuesday at Edward Waters University. The pairing has now won back-to-back matches together, continuing to establish themselves as a reliable duo for the Lady Hurricanes.

Rodrigues continued her strong play into singles, highlighting the afternoon for GSW with a resilient three-set victory at No. 1. After dropping the opening set, she rallied to take the second before pulling away in a match-deciding super tiebreak. The win marked her second straight singles victory and completed a perfect day across both singles and doubles competition.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University women's tennis team battled to the very end Tuesday afternoon but came up just short in a 4-3 loss at Edward Waters University.
