From Friday nights at Lehi to making noise on the college stage, our guys are still BALLIN’.

Huge week for Lehi Football alumni Isaac Terrell and Legend Glasker, both earning Big 12 Player of the Week honors. Different teams. Same standard.

There’s something special about watching players who once suited up in purple take everything they learned here and keep competing at the next level.

The lights got bigger. The stage got bigger. And the Pioneers keep showing up. 💜

#99 CYRUS BECKSTEAD | DEFENSIVE LINE

Today we’re celebrating senior Cyrus Beckstead!

From his parents:

“Cyrus has always represented the ideal. He is genuinely a good person, loved by everyone who knows him. He’s just a great dude!

In elementary school, he saw a kid getting bullied, chased the bully off, and comforted the younger student. The boy’s mom only saw the tears and assumed Cyrus was the bully, so she went after him. The younger student stepped in and explained what had actually happened.

The next day she approached us to apologize. I was ready to handle some business, but Cyrus completely disarmed me when he simply said, ‘It’s okay. Everybody has a bad day.’

Instead of it turning into a disaster, he turned it into a learning moment for me. That’s Cyrus. He just wants to do the right thing simply because it’s the right thing to do.

Football has been awesome! I remember his first sack like it was yesterday. He started playing football not looking for minutes or glory. He wanted to learn to work hard and how to be a great teammate. We believe he has succeeded at both of those goals!”

From Coach Hadfield:

“Seeing the growth of Cyrus from his sophomore year to now is incredible. He has grown into a strong, confident football player. Cyrus always has a story to tell.”

Cyrus is strong, confident, hardworking and a great teammate, but even more importantly, he’s the kind of person who chooses kindness when he doesn’t have to.

Today we’re celebrating senior Kyson Butterfield!

“Kyson, Dad and I love you so much, and to say we’re proud of you is an understatement. We have enjoyed watching you put on that Lehi jersey since you were a little boy. The whole family would come to your games, and when you look in the stands today, nothing has changed.

Keep loving the game and working hard. Your future is bright and you have so much to offer. Work hard, son. Good things will happen! We love you!”

“Kyson is a gamer. When the lights come on, he goes to work. He has the speed and quickness to break tackles and make plays over the top.”

#9 PAUL UNGA | LINEBACKER

Today we’re celebrating senior Paul Unga!

From his parents:

“Paul is an observer. He watches, he reads the room, and sometimes it’s hard to tell what he’s thinking. When he was young, his uncles called him the ‘silent assassin’ because they never knew what he was going to do, and then out of nowhere, he would attack. That mindset, along with his strong work ethic, has helped shape the football player and person he is today.

Nothing has been handed to Paul. He has worked hard for where he is in football and in life. Watching him this year, we are so proud of the time he put in during the offseason and the discipline he has shown to get stronger and refine his skills.

But don’t let the ‘silent’ part fool you. Paul can also be the life of the party! He has friends all over Utah from different schools, and we often come home to a house full of them. Between football, rugby, supporting the people he knows, and going out of his way to meet new people, Paul has a way of bringing people together.

He loves his family and is constantly helping all of us become better people.

We are so happy to celebrate this senior season with Paul and so proud of the man he has become. We love you, Bubba!! 💜”

“Paul has put in a lot of work this offseason to get bigger and faster. He is a quiet leader. Everywhere Paul goes, he attracts a crowd of people with his fun-loving, happy attitude. He represents what it means to be a true Lehi Pioneer.”
