The pin squat helps train explosive-strength,and can be used to strengthen specific ranges of motion in the squat. When I am doing a pin squat Iβm trying to target a parallel position. The parallel position is the most mechanically disadvantageous position. Usually you will see people hit a sticking point once they hit parallel in the squat. If youβre looking to improve overall strength in your squat add some sets of pin squat.
