Yesterday’s birdy bash was a blast!
Good thing I love playing the game because my score was trash.
Tony H had the W all to himself but Josh P recognized he was in the hunt and waited out the storm to finish the round tied for 1st with Tony H. All came down to the last shot on the last hole!
But the real winners again were the doggies who now have $415 in the kitty. Few more events to go and I’m sure we will be well over $500 again this season.

Schedule update: I understand Battle of the Burg is not happening due to storm damage. Boooo.
Buuut, we are going to slide our next event right back into that spot now that Burg is off. Sorry for the moving target! Our next event is Saturday 9/26.
It’s a flex -start, Fun21 layout.

I’m all about the pro tour coming to town! But also, we have a league of our own, and the dogs are counting on players to play here on Saturday.
Our birdy bash is 22 holes all under 220’. Tons of aceable holes! If you aren’t going to Idlewild with the masses, come on out to our birdy bash at 2pm Saturday. Please RSVP so I can prepare for everyone who wants to play.

👀 Might have to change the date on our charity league event #8 so I can play in the Burg tournament that day… Looking like Saturday 9/19 is the alternative date for our event 8. I think anyone playing in our little east side thing would prefer a Burg battle over the Loop so I won’t make anyone choose.
I will confirm that new date ASAP.

Thanks everyone who came out yesterday for round 4! It was a great day for disc golf! We had 16 players yesterday, including several first time SassLoopers! We raised another $105 for the local dog rescue shelter - bringing the annual total after 4 of 10 events $270! Great work Frolfers.
David H got first in the +925 division, Josh P got 2nd.
Austin C got the 3 point W and I took 2nd place for the -925 division.
(divisions are only for points purposes up until the last event, when everyone is playing on a level field with what points they earned in the season. ).
In other words, there is still only 1 champ each season, and us hax are going to have to show up and play at the finale in order to contend.
Payouts are done across the board as well. I want to encourage all you ringers to come out and play, not punish you for showing up!
Ace pot got reset this round but we pumped it up to $75 before Austin C and myself both got Sass-aces on hole D. We will be rolling into next session with $35 in the pot.

Next event is 8/16 at 6pm- doubles.
And later that night we will play glow dubs on the same (( )) layout. Probably have a pizza party in between. Gonna be epic. You should totally come!

We had a great turnout Saturday despite the rain and the local big sanctioned events happening -
16 players came out to compete!
Mike H crushed the field by a mile, and Daryl W safely locked in the 2nd place points.

We have some great players in the mix now so we might be adding divisions for points and payouts moving forward, but here is where it stands after the 3rd round:

We have $165 (updated after Mike H donated half his haul to the pups) in our dog rescue fund after 3 rounds.
