Yesterday we made the decision to let our sweet Sera cross the rainbow bridge. Her cancer had progressed and we would not allow her to suffer. It was equally the hardest and easiest decision we have made. I had not realized how many lives this special girl had impacted- from our family to coworkers to previous students and dog sport friends. For a puppy I didn’t want she sure made a huge impact in my life during her short 8 years. 🐾 she taught me how to expand my comfort zone, about my love for training and behavior, and most recently about allowing others to comfort me when I’m hurting.
Fly high sweet Sera! We will meet again.

In the event of extreme weather or a disaster, would you know what to do to protect your pet? Leaving pets out of evacuation plans can put pets, pet owners, and first responders in d...

Our second event has come to an end, everyone is on their way back home. We were honored to have so many clubs show up to support this trial. Thank you to: Lonestar K9 Performance Club Oklahoma Shed Dog Association Husker Antler Dogs Kansas Shed Dogs CenTex Bone Finders for coming and running dogs!

Thank you to our sponsors who helped with food, supplies, financial support, and spreading the word about this great sport!
CL Boyd Company, Inc.
Indian Rose Ranch
Apex Sport Dogs
Get Dirty Pet Gear

Also a special thank you from the bottom of our stomachs to The Saucy Pig for literally saving our "butt" after a crockpot fail by cooking up the most amazing pulled pork and homemade mustard sauce we have ever tasted! We appreciate you filling a big order with not a lot of notice.

We had three first time runs in our working division- all who went on to earn passes towards their working title. Welcome to the fun!

We had two dogs earn (pending recording) Champion Shed dog titles.
We had one dog earn (pending recording) a Working Shed dog Title.
We had many youth handlers and great dogs and had a couple of newcomers to the sport come to spectate and meet handlers.

Overall a fun and successful trial! We can not wait to see everyone at their upcoming events and our future events!

Y’all I am IN LOVE with the fastest combined time awards for our Fall’n for Shed Dogs fall event. These ribbon displays are made of powder coated steel and are 8 inches tall and 23 inches long with 12 rows of ribbon holding space!
To be eligible for this award the dog has to enter all three days and have the fastest overall combined time. We have one for working shed dog and one for champion shed dog!! Our rosette awards look pretty snazzy on there too! Check out the video on the comments to see how the light shines off these guys!

Have you heard of "Shed Dogs" and wondered what it is? Curious about what happens on a course? Wanting to try it but need to know what happens? LOOK NO FURTHER!
We are going to offer spectator areas on two of our courses November 4th and 5th only (Saturday and Sunday) starting at 8 am to usually around early afternoon.

** RULES for Spectators**
*Check in at our "office area" so we know you are here.
*NO DOGS allowed in these areas- NO EXCEPTIONS.
*spectators must be as quiet and still as possible so as to not distract competitors on the course. This may not be suitable for very young children- but they can play with ours at the "home base area".
*spectators should not try to distract either the handler or dog on course in any way- ie clapping, yelling, noises, calling names etc until the run is over and judge signals end of run.
* spectators must stay in the designated area (box will be taped off and seating will be provided)

This is a native pasture area and ground may be uneven in places. Please use your best judgement on your ability to navigate this terrain these may not be accessible via wheelchair.

We will have a lunch option Saturday and Sunday for competitors. This is usually pulled pork sandwiches and chips, burgers and chips, a soup or casserole with side, etc. If you would like to stay and eat with us it will be $5 per person to help cover expenses of food. We welcome you to stay and socialize with our group, get tips, make connections etc!

If you are planning to come, especially if you are planning to stay and eat- please comment here or message me!

Thanks- Chelsey
