BUSY WEEKEND EXPECTED AT JOHN STIFF PARK, SEPTEMBER 19th and 20th.
Families are encouraged to plan for parking and be considerate of nearby residents.
John Stiff Park will be busy Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, as several youth and adult sports programs take to the fields.
Kids, Incorporated will kick off its fall outdoor soccer season this weekend, with games being played on City of Amarillo fields along SW 54th Avenue. In addition to Kids, Incorporated soccer games, two separate Amarillo football programs will host games at John Stiff Park on Saturday, while the City of Amarillo will host an adult softball tournament at the 5-plex.
With so many activities happening at the same time, parking areas are expected to be very full throughout the day. Families attending Kids, Incorporated soccer games are encouraged to allow a little extra time to find parking.
Parking is available in the lots at SW 54th Avenue and Winkler Drive, as well as in the lot along SW 54th Avenue south of the soccer fields. Please be mindful of children crossing streets and parking lots on their way to and from their games.
We also ask everyone to be especially considerate of the homeowners living south of John Stiff Park. Please do not block residential driveways or mailboxes when parking in the neighborhood.
