We don’t usually do big celebrations for 3rd place, but this 3rd place is a little bit different. This group of 2015 and 2014 girls battled through adversity from the very first pitch to the last, against solid 2013 teams that are ready to move up to 12u in a month. Every single girl had a job and every single girl did their job this weekend. They played 7 games in a matter of 27 hours and did not let up once. They scored 53 runs to the 27 scored on them. They went 4-3 for the weekend with the scores of the losses being 6-3, 5-3, and 9-8 (this game went into ITB), no loss was given up easy, that’s for sure!
We keep our expectations high because they never cease to amaze us, making it possible to continue raising the bar. They’re the toughest, most passionate, hardest working group of girls out on that field.
Do not sleep on this group of girls, there is something special here that simply cannot be explained, it has to be experienced.
Congratulations Thunder 2014, your time is coming sooner than you realize!
Huge shout out to Kailynn from Aftershock for playing with our girls and giving it her all this weekend!
Prayers for Sutton’s quick healing as she broke her hand Friday night. Thank you for being there to cheer on your team, it was a hot, long 2 days, and no doubt you are in some pain! Your being there with your team despite it all meant so much.
Safe travels to Aria and her family! Your intensity was definitely missed this weekend, be ready to bring it to Midland in 2 weeks!
