“To defeat.. the Huns”

08/28/2026

I wrote this poem at 1 AM in 2024. It wasn’t until I poured out my shame and my grief for losing who I used to be, that I discovered who I would become. Satan wants us to dwell in the darkness. He makes us feel isolated and alone and unhelpable. I am no longer in that dark place, but I know there’s many women that still are. You are not alone. I believe God allowed me to go there so I can better understand the women He has called me to help. If any part of this resonates with you, you are not alone.

I’m a trainer and push people to lift more than they think they can, all the time. Why did it take my husband saying “just do it” when I was staring at the 35s lol. I’ve repped that out plenty before but today I was doubting myself for some reason.
Also let’s see how many people a rage baited by the one hexagon and one round plate 😂😂

I didn’t do as many sprint days as I meant to this week because my knees were really acting up so I think I’m going to have a 2-3 day goal instead of four days, depending on sleep and other recovery factors. I think right now since the adaptation I’m trying to elicit is speed, it would be beneficial to add a couple more slightly longer sprints in there, but continue to measure against my baseline distance. What do you think?
Day 1 Baseline: 2:33
After 1 Week: 1:58

I wish it was as simple as going outside and taking off, but my goal is to avoid injury and get the most out of these sprint sessions as possible. Our bodies thrive on efficiency, and the ability to run smoothly is just as important as the performance itself.
