🏐 Senior VOLLEYBALL Spotlight 🏐

One game remains before the postseason run begins for senior standout Sophia Barrientes and the Denver City Fillies. With playoff intensity right around the corner and Bushland likely waiting in the second round, Sophia is ready to rise to the occasion!

Known as the sparkplug of the squad, the youngest of six brings unmatched grit and passion to the floor. Whatever she lacks in height, she more than makes up for with sheer tenacity, heart, and relentless effort, overcoming obstacles to become a cornerstone of dedication for her team.

Next fall, Sophia will take her talents to Lubbock Christian University to major in Early Childhood Education, joining her older sister, an LCU senior in the exact same program, for one memorable overlapping year on campus.

Her loved ones are endlessly proud of the dedication she has shown all season, deeply grateful for every moment of this journey, and blessed to cheer on such an extraordinary senior down the stretch!

Ellie Ann Mowery #13 | Bowie

Ellie Ann is the definition of dedication. Since being on varsity sophomore year, she has excelled in volleyball while serving as cheer captain, ranking in the top 10% of her class, participating in NHS, completing dual credit courses all four years, and working as a waitress for three years.

Beyond her accomplishments, Ellie Ann has an incredible heart for her family. She helps care for her three younger siblings, including picking up her youngest sister from preschool every day. Her love and responsibility for those around her say so much about the young woman she is.

A hardworking student, athlete, and big sister who leads by example!

To know her is to love her!

🏐 Senior VOLLEYBALL Spotlight🏐

Some bonds go far beyond the volleyball court. The Bowie seniors have spent the last four years growing up together, supporting one another through some of life’s hardest moments, including the heartbreaking loss of a classmate, teammate, and best friend.

Now, as graduation gets one step closer, it’s a reminder of just how much these young ladies have been through and how special their bond truly is. Watching them grow together, both on and off the court, has been a joy, and their story is about so much more than volleyball.

🙏Bigger than the Game 🙏

Before dinner, these young 7th grade Brady Bulldogs took a moment to bow their heads in prayer. 🖤💛

In a world where winning can get all the attention, it’s special to see young athletes who understand that faith comes first. Football builds a team, but faith helps build the men they’re becoming. What a beautiful reminder that faith and football go hand in hand!
