These past two weekends, our team represented the academy with heart, grit, and high-level jiu jitsu at local competitions — and we couldn’t be more proud.
Hunter Boone stepped onto the stage at JWI 3 and delivered an unforgettable finish, securing a gogoplata in the final minute of his match. Calm under pressure and relentless to the end — a statement performance.
Allen Tedrick battled through two tough matches, showcasing strong wrestling, relentless pressure, and technical guard passing. His composure and pace reflected countless hours of hard work on the mats.
Avery Jarvis had one of the most competitive matches of the day, narrowly losing to a black belt by just one point in a razor-close battle. He came back focused and hungry, submitting his next opponent in the opening minutes in dominant fashion.
Matt Mizelle put on an outstanding performance, demonstrating solid wrestling, sharp submission attempts, and impressive escapes. His ability to stay composed and keep pushing forward was great to watch.
Win or lose, what stands out most is the growth, the courage to compete, and the way these athletes carry themselves. We’re proud of the work they’re putting in and excited to see what’s next.
Back to the mats. Always improving. Come try a class today and join our family!
