These athletes brought great energy, focus, and a willingness to work. Strength training isn’t just about getting stronger—it’s about building confidence, improving performance, and helping athletes stay healthy throughout their season.

All winter and spring, we heard the same thing from athletes and parents: “We wish there was a morning training option this summer.”

At D1 Altoona, we’re excited to bring that idea to life on Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8-9 am all summer!

There’s something powerful about starting your day by investing in yourself. Before the distractions, before the screens, before the excuses—just showing up and putting in the work.

This morning session is for athletes who want to make the most of their summer and continue building toward their goals.

June’s Character Athlete of the Month is Liam Brincks, and the character word he represents is Responsibility.

Responsibility isn’t just about showing up—it’s about making a commitment to yourself and following through. It’s choosing to work hard when no one is watching, embracing challenges, and taking ownership of your growth every step of the way.

Liam consistently demonstrates these qualities. He comes in with a great attitude, puts in the effort, and understands that becoming the athlete he wants to be starts with the choices he makes every day.

We’re proud of the athlete Liam is becoming, but even more proud of the young man he is growing into. Keep leading by example and trusting the process.

We’re excited to kick off our very first Summer Morning Youth Training Class this coming Monday June 8th!

This summer training group will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00–9:00 AM all summer, and is designed to help young athletes build speed, strength, confidence, and athleticism in a fun, high-energy environment.

The response has been great, and we only have 7 spots remaining before the class is full.

If you're looking for a way to keep your athlete active, challenged, and improving this summer, now is the time to secure their spot. What better way to kick off their days?
