Shining Stars campaigns an accomplished team of Percheron geldings at some of the finest Draft Horse Shows in North America. Owner Dianna Marquardt began her endeavor with these Gentle Giants in 2001 with a single horse named "Fred" who she purchased at the Waverly Midwest Horse Sale. The one horse operation quickly grew into something much larger, as the Shining Stars team worked to build the pro

gram that exists today. In 2006, we traveled cross-country to Lexington, Virginia to compete at the World Percheron Congress. The following year, we put together our first six-horse hitch. Since then, we have continued to grow our program and achieved great success along the way. Apart from her passion for Percheron Draft Horses, Dianna Marquardt also owns and operates Shining Stars Child Development Center in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. The children enrolled at Shining Stars frequently visit the farm. Feel free to reach out and stop in for a visit or stop by at one of the many shows we attend!
