This weekend (5/10-5/11) the Tuckahoe Valley Militia hosted the Pennsylvania Company of Rifleman and Kentucky's Corps of Longrifleman for this year's Spring Interstate shoot at our club, Blair County Game, Fish & Forestry Association inc.

Friday: We updated our woodswalk for the event and had a fun shoot all day. We had 18 shots and it was a blanket prize entry. The rain mostly held off for us, and we had a good day full of camaraderie and excellent shooting. We ended the day with a potluck cookout.

*During our meal, a wonderful friend and fellow teammate, long-time PA Federation of Black Powder Shooters member and muzzleloader shooting enthusiast was honored with a rare occasion. Barrie Miller was welcomed into Kentucky's Corps of Longrifleman for his many year's of dedication and love for what we do.

Saturday: We could choose to shoot 2 re-entry targets, 1 at 25yds and 1 at 50yds. However, this event is unique because with Kentucky we shoot team qualifier targets (for PA team and KY Corps respectively). PA's top 5 shooters won the match over KY's top 5 shooters. We will see KY in October for the Interstate Flintlock Championship Shoot.

SPECIAL THANKS to the members/auxillary members of Blair County Game & caretaker for last minute lunches provided for both days of shooting. We greatly appreciate it!

➡️TOMORROW we have a shoot, registration opens at 8:30am & the range opens at 9am ⏰

➡️We will have lunch available: BBQ ham sandwiches, assorted chips, assorted sodas, and bottled water until everything is gone 🍔

A neighboring club, the Altoona rifle and pistol club, is holding a woods walk this Saturday the 16th. Registration starts at 0830 and shooting starts at 0900. Their shoots are always a great time!
