This past Sunday marked the end of our 2023 race season. Ryan performed really well in his last season in the kid kart. He gained a ton of confidence to push the car to the max and hit several personal best lap times throughout the year. He'll be moving up to a road course cadet next year rejoining several of his buddies he's raced with over the two previous seasons. We're proud of his progress this year and looking forward to the new challenge. Keep an eye on the current class of kid karters as there are several up and coming karting stars in there.

We had a good time last night with Hampton Roads Kart Club . Thanks to Carmasters Automotive LLC for sponsoring the race night. We also had a visit from Let’s Talk Cars Radio . Here's a pic of Ryan being interviewed after his feature race. His first official racing interview. In the race, he matched his personal best lap time and we continue to work on his lap time consistency and small tweaks to his racing line.

We had lots of fun under the lights for our 2nd outing of the year with the kid kart. Our two main objectives were to run laps in the 22 second range and to drive those laps the same way to improve lap time consistency. A handful of cautions slowed the race pace, but when we could get consecutive clean laps, Ryan showed much improvement in his consistency. He also hit a personal best lap time. Our youngest team member finally got to experience Saturday night short track racing from the infield pits. He loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back!

A little late on the update from our racing weekend but Friday was the 1st race night under the lights for the karting club. I think I have most of the bugs worked out of the new kart and now can focus on getting Ryan to run it 100%. Thanks to the #17 team for the cool on track shots from their kart.

My legends car sat on the sidelines Saturday as there hasn't been enough hours in the day to repair the crash damage from the June 11th race and get the new kart up and running. Ready for life to slow down some so we can both focus on racing more. We'll have the #5 car put back together for racing in July.

We are back in action tomorrow night at Larry King Law's Langley Speedway with the legend car. It's college night with $10 entry for all current college students with a valid ID. I'll have my Old Dominion University gear on under my firesuit.

We're encouraging all race fans tomorrow to wear your favorite school's gear!
And all college students will get in for $10 with a valid college I.D.
