Dear Boaters,

As we begin transitioning out of our peak summer schedule, please note that beginning Saturday, August 29, the Alton Marina Deli will close at 6:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.

This change will begin as we transition into our fall operating schedule. Wednesday and Thursday hours will be shortened to 2:00 PM.

Store hours will remain the same for package beer, soda & snacks.

We appreciate everyone’s continued support of the Marina Deli throughout the summer and thank you for another great boating season.

We look forward to seeing you around the harbor this Labor Day weekend and throughout the fall!

Thank you,
Alton Marina

There's alot happening today. The Blessing of the Fleet, The food truck festival, and of course our 30th Anniversary Party!!!
We will be closing the kitchen at 4 today, so we can get set up at Pavillion for the party.
The store will still be open, so you can still come in for ice, beverages and merchandise.
We hope to see you all tonight..6 to 10!!

We wanted to make everyone aware that the water level in the harbor has significantly dropped overnight due to a late-scheduled draw down by the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Because of the lower water level, getting boats on and off lifts may be more difficult than usual, particularly for boats with limited clearance.

Please use extra caution when operating your boat or attempting to use your lift. The same caution applies to the public launch ramp, where the lower water level may affect launching and retrieving vessels. Anyone who would like to get their boats temporarily off of a lift and move to H Dock until water levels stabilize should call the office for further instructions.

Water levels are controlled by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, and these changes likely coincide with the recent heavy rainfall in the upper river basin and adjustments being made to manage river levels.

As always, we will continue to monitor conditions and keep everyone informed of any significant changes.

Please use caution and don’t hesitate to contact the Marina office with any questions.

Dear Boaters and Customers,
Please note that the marina deli will be closed on Wednesday, August 12.
The marina store will remain open during normal business hours until 6:00 PM, so fuel, ice, beverages, and other convenience items will still be available as usual.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. The deli will resume normal operations on its regular schedule on Thursday, August 13.

Good morning,

Due to the rapidly rising river levels and the severe weather that moved through this morning, a significant amount of floating debris has entered the harbor.

Please use extreme caution when entering and leaving the harbor. Floating logs, branches, and other debris can cause serious damage to propellers, lower units, hulls, and other underwater components. While some larger debris is visible and can be removed by our staff, the smaller debris presents the greatest risk because it is much harder to detect and, due to the sheer volume, nearly impossible to remove completely.

Our staff and volunteer slip holders have been actively removing larger debris whenever it is safe to do so, but we ask for your patience as the current conditions make complete cleanup extremely difficult. As wind and river conditions improve, we expect much of the lighter debris to naturally disperse over the coming days.

In the meantime, please operate at idle speed whenever practical, keep a sharp lookout, and allow yourself extra time when navigating in and out of the harbor. Your caution is the best protection against potential damage to your vessel.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation as our harbor staff continues working to improve conditions.

Thank you, and please stay safe on the water.

Dear Slip Holders,

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has begun building pool and water levels on the Mississippi River. As a result, river levels are expected to continue rising over the next several days.

The current river level is approximately 416 feet above sea level, which provides approximately 5 to 6 feet of water (plus or minus) within the harbor. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and keep everyone informed of any significant changes.

At this time, the public launch ramp remains open. However, please note that the City of Alton will close the public launch ramp on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the F1 Powerboat Racing event. Please plan accordingly if you intend to launch or retrieve your boat during that time.

Thank you for your cooperation. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend.
