The results don't always show the improvement and heart our LB Cup drivers Tiger Tari and Chris Tasca have! Both drivers battled to the end in the extreme heat this weekend! Tiger and Chris had to go to the medical center after race one for IV's, making race 2 even more impressive! We look forward to helping each driver reach their goal this season!

It was a great day despite the tumultuous weather! Between the Trofeo race, and GTD practice we managed to dance around all the rain and get in all dry laps today.

Fred, Keawn, Nikko, Shehan, and Luke all fought their way to well earned podiums! Fred specifically started at the very back of the grid.

Jaden took the lovely Anastasia into qualifying and squeezed out a 6th in class.

All in all, we’re a happy group looking to take our speed into the race tomorrow!

Today had a little bit of everything. Clear weather, rain, podiums and near misses.

Our Trofeos were quick and exciting, trading places almost constantly it seemed like. Yellow flags brought the group back together and made for a very close finish that saw 2 of our 5 cars take podiums, and two more miss out on the podium on the last lap, but that’s racing! Lessons learned.

We finally got to pull our GT3 car out of the trailer and put her back in competition for the first time since Daytona! It’s been a long time coming. We got about a lap in before wets needed to go on and the rain started to fall.

It made for a challenging session with two of our drivers having not had any time in the car in the wet. Ultimately the slick surface snuck up on on his in lap and we had a light tap with the wall.

We’ll be ready for tomorrows morning session, looking like more rain… yay… 🌧️

NTE SPORT LAMBORGHINI READY TO TAKE ON THE SAHLEN'S SIX HOURS OF THE GLEN

WATKINS GLEN, NY, June 21, 2023 — Like a thunderbolt wrapped in Italian finery, NTE Sport is back on the tarmac at the 2023 Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen. Fielding a formidable fleet of five Lamborghini Super Trofeo cars as well as their Lamborghini Huracan EVO 2 GT3 Car, the team is all set to take on the challenging Watkins Glen International Raceway.

Strapped into the cockpit of the vibrant purple #42 Super Trofeo Pro-AM car are drivers Luke Berkeley and Keawn Tandon. Berkeley, the 2021 Super Trofeo AM champion now turned Pro, is laser-focused on the championship with Tandon, the rookie sensation who catapulted straight from karting to Trofeo. Expect this dynamic duo to hurt some feelings.

Keeping the heat turned up in the Pro-AM category are speedsters Shehan Chandrasoma and Nikko Reger in the #20 car.

Running the LB Cup class gauntlet in their #89 and #17 cars are Fred Roberts and Tiger Tari. Roberts and Tari, both with a fondness for the thrill of Watkins Glen, are ready to roll against a fierce field.

Jeff Courtney will be holding down the fort in the AM class, piloting the white and orange #99 Super Trofeo.

But the big ticket item this weekend? The comeback kid, the #42 Lamborghini Huracan EVO2. Off the grid since a challenging Daytona 24, the team has been working relentlessly to return the GT3 car to its prime. Ready to pilot the GT3 around the circuit are Jaden Conwright, Luke Berkeley, and Rob Ferriol.

Conwright, sidelined since Daytona, is itching to get back into action.

Berkeley shared, “It has been my dream since a kid watching the Daytona 24, to be apart of the IMSA weathertech paddock in a GTD car. To now be participating in the Sahlen's 6 Hour is surreal. A huge thank you to Paul and the whole NTE team for making this dream possible and giving me a home for 2023."

New to the team, Rob Ferriol will be getting behind the wheel of a Lamborghini GT3 for the first time. Many will know Rob as the team owner at Hardpoint. While their own Trofeo program is also in full swing this weekend, Rob is happy to take the opportunity to get back into the GT3 platform and compete in the Six Hour.

After a nail-bitingly close call last season where a podium finish was snatched away by late-race yellow flags, the NTE squad has revenge on their minds and they're ready for a little redemption. It's game on!

In the exhilarating realm of racing, where emotions run high and excitement is ever-present, there are times when challenges emerge and we must adapt. With a touch of sadness, we must withdraw from the Sebring 12 hour in order to reevaluate our budget for this thrilling season. We fought through to the last second with all we had to make the race, but the stars simply would not align.

As the weekend unfolds, we extend our heartfelt wishes for speed and safety to our fellow competitors and hope for a strong finish for our beloved Lamborghini family. Though we are away for now, it will be brief

Rest assured, we will soon return to the track, with the announcement of our sprint driver lineup just around the corner. Until we race again…

There are many many clips that are fun and exciting within OBSESSION, but they inevitably get cut down substantially to work within the narrative. This sub series focuses on those clips to give them room to breathe!

In this clip we follow Don Yount, our bronze driver, on his out-lap and consecutive flying lap around Daytona International Speedway. These are Dons first laps since 2022 and his very first in the new EVO2 spec Lamborghini.

We found these onboards extremely entertaining in their own right and thought wed kick off this new sub series with this fun onboard. Spotter Jonatan Jorge is in Dons ear giving him constant information on traffic and other pertinent information to navigate the session safely.

The 24 was crushing, but it’s also magical. It’s a place like no other. No IMSA event turns the screws on you and asks so much of the crew, or the drivers, the way the Rolex 24 does.

Two weeks of thrashing, racing, tuning analyzing, long days, late nights, a few beers, lots of laughs, lots of swearing, and in the end new stories and memories written for us all.

To look back and think of it simply by the result would miss so much of the bigger picture. We come to these rounds to race and to win, but we also come to these rounds to be around our racing family. To fight, struggle, succeed and fail together. Bloody, beaten, and bruised, but when we leave, we hug and we can’t wait to do it all over again next time. Maybe we’re masochists, but we’re in it together. That’s Racing.
