So after having a few days recovery in Vancouver, time to rest the body and mind, time to reflect on the past 6 months. The time has come to put this adventure to bed and start thinking of the next....
Just before that I'd just like to thank everyone for following along on this incredible journey, for the comments and support, on the days of struggle, and there were many. The knowledge people were following along certainly made those days easier.
Met so many incredible people, both young and old who helped reset the belief in humanity, too many to mention personally. But certainly walking with Kax and Autumn, who pulled me from the jaws of a ragging river then set about patching me up before i really knew what was going on, and of course DJ, who on various days dragged me long both mentally and physically when stopping would have been easier....
Meeting up with him on the bus in San Diego and walking for 5 months together, finishing at the border with Canada, has really been one of the best experiences I've had in this life, and of course Sarge whom I also walked many miles with too.
Below are just a few of my favourite photos, more to follow....

After sitting out a storm in Olallie Lake for 3 days, in UK terms the worst thunder storm I've ever experienced, we've moved on to Timberline Lodge, for the film buffs, it was used in Jack Nicholson The Shinning.....
Walked past mount Jefferson and on to Mount Hood. Mount Hood stands at 11300 ft. Tomorrow we move on to Cascade Locks, the end of Oregan and the start of the end, Washington!!!

Crater Lake.....
We set off last Sunday morning to walk the Crator Lake trail before getting hitch around the wild fire, sadly a 70 Mile section missed.
Crator Lake started life as a volcano slowly growing in size to approx 12000ft in height. Then some 7700 years ago it erupted losing 12 cubic miles of mountain rock and 5000ft of height.
It is now the deepest Lake in the USA and is covered in snow 8 months of the year, with an average annual fall of about 40ft.....

After 4 months, nearly 1700 miles, countless thousand of feet of elevation, more snow and snow melt than I've ever seen before. More blood sweat and tears than I've ever given before. More fear than I've ever experienced before, we finally crossed the border into Oregan......
Shortly after we also went through the 1700 mile mark too
