Picking up pickleballs again and again during practice can get annoying… and over time it can even lead to lower back pain.

So I decided to test something that many pickleball players recommend — the Tourna Pickleball Pickup Tube.

After using it for 2 months of drilling and practice, here is my honest review.

Does it actually make practice easier?
Does it save time on the court?
And most importantly… is it worth buying?

Deep Serve Return = Control of the Rally

One of the most important shots in pickleball is the serve return.

If your return is short, your opponents can attack immediately.
But when you hit a deep return, you push them back and give yourself time to reach the kitchen line.

In this practice session, I worked on a simple drill:
🎯 Target zone — about 3 feet inside the baseline

Then I measured my accuracy.

My result today: 22%

Still a lot of room to improve — but that’s the whole point of practice.

Try this drill next time you’re on the court and track your accuracy.
