Contemporary dancers, this one’s for you.

We’re excited to bring Brady Michael to Core for a special 2-hour Contemporary Intensive on July 2. As the founder and artistic director of RISK Contemporary Dance Company, Brady has become one of the most respected voices in Atlanta’s contemporary dance scene. His classes are challenging, inspiring, and known for pushing dancers to grow both technically and artistically.

So much fun packed into one week, Circus day 2!

Our Circus Camp crew has been climbing silks, spinning on lyra, trying trapeze and sphere, tie-dyeing shirts, and making memories along the way. These kids have been fearless, hardworking, and smiling from ear to ear. Be sure to tag any friends you spot!

Our first Aerial Circus Camp is officially underway, and these performers wasted no time getting off the ground! 🎪

From silks and lyra to trapeze and sphere, campers were in the air almost immediately and are already working toward an end-of-week performance. It’s amazing to see how much confidence, strength, and skill can develop in just a few days.

Our first Admix Project Intensive this summer exceeded every expectation. The classes were outstanding, the feedback was invaluable, and dancers had the opportunity to train with professionals who are actively working in the industry today.

For several dancers, the experience didn’t end when the intensive was over. They were invited to join the Admix Company and will be performing in Atlanta later this summer. That’s the power of being seen.

Now, Admix Project is back at Core. July 9-10, dancers will spend two days training, learning, and working alongside industry professionals in an environment designed to challenge and inspire serious dancers. This event is open to intermediate and advanced dancers from any studio. You do not have to be a Core dancer to attend.

If your dancer is looking for high-level training, industry mentorship, professional insight, and the opportunity to be seen by professionals in the industry, this is an event worth prioritizing.

Spots are limited and we expect this intensive to fill quickly.

SUMMER AERIAL DROP-IN CLASSES!

Ever wanted to try aerial? Now’s your chance!

Our Summer Aerial Classes are running as drop-in classes, which means there’s no long-term commitment. Simply sign up for the classes you’d like to attend, show up, and fly!

Best of all, you do NOT need to be a current Core student to participate. These classes are open to the public, so invite your friends and come try something new together!

Tuesdays
• Adult Silks & Sling | 5:30-6:30PM
• Youth/Teen Silks & Sling | 6:30-7:30PM
• Adult Lyra & Silks | 7:30-8:30PM

Thursdays
• Adult Silks & Sling | 5:30-6:30PM
• Youth/Teen Lyra & Trapeze | 6:30-7:30PM

✨ No experience necessary
✨ Open to both Core and non-Core students
✨ Sign up for one class or as many as you’d like

These classes are available for the summer only and are a great way to experience our aerial program before our regular season begins.

🚨 CORE FACULTY DROP 🚨

Please help us welcome Jacob Wiederrich to the Core Dance & Acrobatics family for the 2026-2027 season! 🔥

Jacob brings a unique blend of artistry, versatility, and professional experience to our faculty. With a BFA in Dance Performance from Chapman University and performance credits spanning contemporary, jazz, hip hop, tap, and commercial dance, he has trained and performed alongside some of the industry’s most respected artists while also performing professionally with RISK Contemporary Dance Company.

What excites us most, though, is Jacob’s heart for teaching. He is passionate about helping dancers discover authentic movement, build strong technical foundations, and grow as confident, creative artists. His classes challenge dancers to think, feel, and move with purpose while creating a positive and supportive environment where every student can thrive.

We are beyond excited for our dancers to learn from his artistry, energy, and fresh perspective this season.

Our first Summer Camp 2026 is already one for the books 🧜‍♀️

Our Under the Sea campers are spending the week dancing, painting, playing games, and preparing for their big show at the end of the week. Here are a few photos from this morning’s art project as they help create the underwater world they’ll bring to life!

One post wasn’t enough. ✨

Echo: Magic in the Air gave us so many incredible moments that we couldn’t fit them all into a single post! These photos are just a few more snapshots from a weekend we’ll never forget.

Months of rehearsals, countless hours of hard work, nervous backstage moments, standing ovations, happy tears, and so much growth all came together on that stage. We are endlessly proud of every dancer who trusted the process and shared their talent with our audience.

Thank you to our dancers, families, teachers, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this show such a special experience.

There’s nothing quite like a Core recital🖤💛

Our 9th Annual Recital Showcase, Echo: Magic in the Air, was truly one for the books. From custom lighting and incredible sound to our very first aerial production, every moment was filled with energy, artistry, and a little bit of magic.

We are so proud of every dancer who stepped on that stage and shared their heart, hard work, and sparkle with our audience. The talent was incredible, but what makes Core special is the joy and passion that shines through every performance.
