What if one small change to your stance meant more home runs next season?

Swing adjustments aren't just something we work on at GRIT Academy. It happens even at the highest level of the game. Matt Olson and Dansby Swanson are two of the best hitters in baseball and they work on optimizations on an ongoing basis.

GRIT instructor and owner, Jason Little, shared his thoughts on this on our blog this week because it's something he talks about with athletes and parents every single day. The best hitters in the world never decide their swing is done. They keep refining.

If your athlete has been in the same stance for a few years and nobody has really examined it, this one is worth five minutes of your time.

🥎 Softball Monday 6/15 - Friday 6/19
⚾ Baseball Monday 6/22 - Friday 6/26

We’re the only camp in the area that runs a full week and gives you an extra hour each day, 9am to 1pm. That extra time means more reps, more coaching, more real improvement - - and more fun!

Players will train in hitting, throwing, fielding, base running, and defense through fast-paced drills, stations, and competitive games. We keep groups small so athletes stay moving, get constant coaching, and build confidence every day. Expect competitions, challenges, and even some water games to keep things fun and engaging.

💥 $250 for the full week
That’s just $50 per day or $12.50 per hour for professional coaching in a high-rep, competitive environment.

📍 Central Park Fields
Players should bring a bat, glove, cleats, mask (softball), sunscreen, and a snack. A short snack break is built into the schedule.

A full week of reps, coaching, competition, and fun for young players looking to sharpen their game.

⚾ Baseball: June 22–26
📍 Central Park Fields
⏰ 9 AM–1 PM
👥 Ages 6–12
💵 $250 resident / $300 non-resident

Players will work through hitting, throwing, fielding, base running, defense, competitive drills, and game-style stations throughout the week.

New this year: Ansley Real Estate will be sponsoring a snack + drink station, along with a GRIT Athlete of the Week for both softball and baseball.

Kelsea Moody… what a way to finish!!! 💣

We’re incredibly proud of Kelsea for hitting an out-of-the-park home run for the Augusta Jaguars in her final career at bat. It was a storybook ending to her softball journey 🥎❤️

What makes it even better is knowing the work behind it. The extra reps, hard work and perseverance when things weren’t always easy. Seeing it pay off in a moment like this is really special.

That swing was more than a home run. It was the reward for **years** of hard work.
