Happy Flag Day from 20,000 Leagues Scuba & Outdoors!

While today celebrates the American flag, divers know that flags play an important role on the water too!

🔴⚪ Diver Down Flag
Used in inland waters and many U.S. locations, this red flag with a white diagonal stripe signals that divers are below. Boaters should stay clear and proceed with caution.

🔵⚪ Alpha Flag
The international signal flag meaning "I have a diver down; keep well clear at slow speed." You'll often see this flag displayed from dive boats around the world.

Knowing these flags helps keep everyone safe on the water and underwater.
