TRAVEL SOCCER TRY-OUTS POSTPONED TO WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17th AT 530PM

Good afternoon Travel Soccer Families,

After monitoring the incoming weather and radar outlook, we have decided that the best decision is to postpone tonight’s travel soccer try-outs.

Try-outs have been rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17th at 5:30 PM.

Please plan to arrive ready to play with the following items:

⚽ Soccer ball

🥅 Shin guards

👟 Cleats

💧 Water bottle

The try-out process will remain the same:

We will start with full group announcements

Players will then meet with their assigned coach and move to their designated field.

Coaches will evaluate players as we work toward forming teams for the upcoming season.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we make the best decision for player safety and the quality of the try-out experience. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening!

⚽️🤍💚 What a great way to wrap up another successful season! 💚🤍⚽️

Today, all of our Alpena FC girls travel teams came together to celebrate an incredible season. These young ladies continue to make their coaches proud with their hard work, dedication, sportsmanship, and growth both on and off the field.

One of the best parts of our program is seeing players from all three teams come together as one soccer family, building relationships and helping strengthen the future of girls soccer in Alpena. The continued growth of this program is something truly special, and these athletes are a big reason why.

A huge thank you to Jon Benson and the team at JJs for helping provide pizza for the girls to enjoy during the celebration! 🍕 Your support of local youth athletics is greatly appreciated.

And, of course, thank you to all of our parents for your commitment throughout the season, getting the girls to practices, games, tournaments, and supporting them every step of the way. We couldn’t do it without you!

We are already excited to see what next season brings. The future of Alpena girls soccer is bright! ⚽️⭐

🏆⚽ Ladies and Gentlemen… Introducing your Sunset Coast Classic U15 Girls Tournament Champions! ⚽🏆

What a way to finish the season!

The girls went a perfect 4-0 on the weekend, battling hard and earning their way to a 1st Place Championship at the Sunset Coast Classic Tournament! 🥇

This team has played outstanding soccer all season long, and bringing home a tournament championship is the perfect icing on the cake. More importantly, it was a tremendous way to send our 8th graders off as they prepare for their high school soccer careers.

The growth, dedication, teamwork, and heart these girls have shown throughout the season have been incredible to watch. They represented Alpena FC with pride every time they stepped onto the field.

Congratulations, ladies! Your coaches could not be more proud of everything you’ve accomplished this season.

Alpena FC Boys Update:

The U12 boys wrapped up their season with two wins against Harbor Springs and Charlevoix while playing in Alpena on Sunday. They were able to showcase their skills both technically and tactically. Great job boys. They finish the season 8-3-2.

⚽️🔥 HUGE DAY FOR ALL THREE ALPENA FC GIRLS TEAMS! 🔥⚽️

What a fantastic weekend for Alpena FC as all three girls teams showed tremendous effort, growth, and determination on the pitch!

🏆 U15 Girls
The U15s traveled to Harbor Springs and continued their outstanding season with two dominant victories:
✅ 5-0 over Elk Rapids
✅ 5-0 over Harbor Springs

They finish the regular season with an impressive 8-1-1 record and will wrap up their season next weekend at the Sunset Coast Classic Tournament in Petoskey. Great work, girls!

💚🤍⚽ U12 Girls
The U12s may not have gotten all the results they deserved, but they played some of their best soccer of the season. They battled to a 2-2 draw against Elk Black and narrowly fell 1-0 to Elk Orange. Their possession, scoring opportunities, teamwork, and overall play were outstanding throughout the day. The progress this team continues to make is exciting to watch! They’ll join the U15s in Petoskey next weekend.

💚🤍U10 Girls
Talk about resilience!

In Game 1, the girls found themselves trailing early but battled back for an exciting 3-2 victory.

Game 2 was another test of character. After a scoreless first half, they quickly fell behind 3-0 in the second half. Instead of giving up, they dug deep, kept fighting, and completed an incredible comeback to earn a 4-3 win!

The future of Alpena FC girls soccer is bright. From the youngest players to the oldest, these athletes continue to represent our club with hard work, teamwork, and heart.
