Hello….this is Mark Thelen.

At this time I feel compelled to let you know that I have made the decision to offer my resignation from the DCS Great Lakes Chapter board of directors. While I greatly enjoyed working with Members, Outfitters, Volunteers and Supporters of the DSC events, I struggled with the differences in where the Club should be headed to properly support hunter conservation.

I hope for the best for the Club moving forward.

Thank You….Mark

This is Dave Jagst, previous president of the Great Lakes Chapter.

I felt compelled to post that due to the disparities in goals and beliefs in where the chapter needs to go, I have decided to step down and resign from the Board of Directors. I am sorry to say that the differences in beliefs and goals was insurmountable.

Steve Thorpe and Emily Weeks have also decided that they cannot support the direction of the board and have also decided to resign from their board positions.

I want to thank all of the new friends that I have made over the years and thank you for your support.

Dave Jagst

Comment down below if you would like to see the entire speech 🗣️ What a powerful speech given to us at our annual banquet. Gary Stephan has had first hand experience with how our wish hunt program can change a life. In 2005 his son Nick participated in the wish hunt, is was an experience that he and his son will never forget! As he reflects on his time with the Great Lakes chapter he extended gratitude to not just our efforts for hunting conservation but to the people behind this organization.

Anyone is welcome! This coming May we are having our Night at the museum event that we all look forward to. It’s a chance to gather with friends and fellow chapter members for a social evening with the opportunity to experience the museum of wildlife animals from around the world. *you do not need to be a chapter member to attend*
