🥎 DISTRICT SEMIFINAL RECAP 🥎
What a battle.

The Alma Panthers left everything on the field today, battling into extra innings before coming up just short, falling 2-1, in the District Semifinal game against Bullock Creek. While the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, this team showed tremendous heart, grit, and determination from the first pitch to the final out. 🧡

In the circle, S. Sparks was fierce, battling pitch after pitch to keep Alma within striking distance until the very last frame. Offensively, M. Myers reached base multiple times with a single and a walk, while E. Wing and C. Liedke both delivered key hits to keep the fight alive.
The defense was spectacular all day. T. Adams was a steady anchor behind the plate, while Liedke and Myers locked down the middle of the field with crucial plays. The outfield was completely locked down by E. Wing, E. Aldrich, and T. Heeke.

Most importantly, this team never stopped competing. We are so incredibly proud of the toughness and heart these girls showed. Proud to be a Panther! 🥎🐾

🔥🥎 PANTHERS SHOWED UP READY TO BATTLE! 🥎🔥

The Alma Panthers brought the energy tonight against Big Rapids with big swings, aggressive base running, and clutch defensive plays all game long! 🧡🐾

💥 OFFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS 💥
🔸M. Myers stayed hot at the plate with a single AND a double to spark the Panther offense!
🔸C. Liedke came through with a huge extra-base hit and reached base multiple times.
🔸T. Adams delivered in a big way with both a single and a double while creating chaos on the bases!
🔸S. Sparks added timely hitting and helped keep the momentum rolling.
🔸T. Heeke crushed a double, while both S. Allison players chipped in key hits to keep innings alive.

🧤 DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS 🧤
⭐️ The Panther defense came up with multiple big stops in the infield behind strong play from C. Liedke and M. Myers up the middle.
⭐️ S. Allison was sharp at third base making key defensive plays look routine.
⭐️ Behind the plate, T. Adams controlled the game and helped keep pressure on the Cardinals.
⭐️ In the circle, S. Sparks competed pitch after pitch and battled tough all night long.

🥎 PANTHERS BATTLE IN DOUBLEHEADER 🥎

Our Panthers fought hard in a fierce doubleheader against the Ithaca Varsity Jackets! While the final scores didn't fall our way, our ladies showed incredible resilience, completely bouncing back from a tough opener to unleash an absolute offensive hurricane in the nightcap! 🔥💪

💥 T. ADAMS ( #17) WAS UNSTOPPABLE: Adams put on an absolute masterclass behind and at the plate. In the nightcap, she went a staggering 3-for-4, highlighted by a towering 3-RUN HOME RUN in the 3rd inning, a Double in the 5th, and a Single in the 7th! She practically rearranged the outfield fence! 💣👑

🚀 C. LIEDKE ( #14) LAUNCHES ONE: Our shortstop had a massive performance! Liedke kept the line moving all night, scoring a run in the 5th after a single, and capping it all off by launching a spectacular solo Home Run over the wall in the 6th! ⚡️

🔥 THE ALLISON BACK-TO-BACK PUNCH: Batting right next to each other in the lineup, the Allison duo was a complete nightmare for Ithaca's pitching:

S. Allison ( #33) was locked in at first base, going a flawless 2-for-2 with two singles and drawing two walks to reach base safely in ALL FOUR of her plate appearances! 🏹

S. Allison ( #23) brought the thunder from third base, ripping a clutch RBI Double into the gap in the 3rd and adding a single in the 5th!

🐾 KEEPING THE PRESSURE ON: We had fantastic team situational hitting and gritty plate appearances all night to keep the line moving:

M. Myers ( #6) triggered a late run by ripping a clutch Double into the gap and coming around to score!

E. Wing ( #1) battled her way aboard on a fielder's choice in the 5th and laced a clean Single in the 7th!

M. Bozeman ( #18) showed great hustle to reach base on a hard-hit fielder's choice in the 5th.

S. Sparks ( #5) fought hard in the circle, drew a clutch Walk during our 3rd-inning explosion, and drove in a run in the 7th with a deep Sacrifice Fly to center field! ✈️

So proud of the grit, focus, and explosive energy this team showed to fight down to the very last out. We build on these big bats and keep moving forward! Way to swing it, Panthers! 🐾🥎

The Panthers battled hard all night against Valley Lutheran, showing toughness, hustle, and nonstop energy from first pitch to final out! 💪🥎🧹

🔥 OFFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS 🔥
⭐ Teagan Adams powered the offense with a TRIPLE, DOUBLE, and multiple hits across the doubleheader.
⭐ Shelby Sparks stayed hot at the plate with doubles, singles, and strong work in the circle all evening. She recorded 8 RBIs tonight!
⭐ Madison Myers sparked the Panthers offense with clutch hitting, aggressive baserunning, and multiple stolen bases.
⭐ Clara Liedke delivered key extra-base hits while anchoring the defense at shortstop.
⭐ Sydney Allison came through with timely hits, including an RBI double, while helping keep pressure on the Chargers defense.
⭐ Emmalyn Wing added a key double, and the Panthers continued to manufacture runs with speed, hustle, and smart baserunning throughout both games.

💥 Strong defensive communication, clean plays, and key outs helped Alma stay competitive all night.
