Some players earn respect with words. Akira earns it every time she steps on the field. She came in with experience, confidence, and immediately made a statement on this team. She’s vocal, brings energy, and has the leadership qualities that every coach wants in a player. But what has impressed me the most isn’t what she does when things are going her way it’s what she does when they aren’t.
I’ve watched Akira stay humble through her failures, accept coaching, and keep working. That’s what separates good players from great teammates. Leadership isn’t about being perfect; it’s about how you respond when you’re challenged.
Prime is excited to have #8 wearing our colors, and I can’t wait to see her continue to grow both as a player and as a leader. P.S. She was safe at 2nd!

I’ve watched and admired this kid play from across the diamond for the past several seasons. Behind the plate, she’s an absolute general! A leader who commands the field, handles her pitchers with confidence, and never backs down from a tough play. I am truly honored and excited to finally have the opportunity to coach her. Bella brings the grit, heart, and tough as nails mindset that every team needs behind the dish, and she’s going to make a massive impact on our program.

Some players make an impact with their play.

Ch’Taiya “Tai” Jackson makes an impact the moment she shows up.

You can’t be around Tai without smiling. Her energy is contagious, her attitude is infectious, and somehow she has a way of making everyone’s day just a little bit better. Whether she’s on the field competing or laughing with her teammates, she reminds us that softball is supposed to be fun. Wearing #24, Tai will forever be one of the last athletes to represent the Stingers. That jersey may be changing, but the joy, heart, and positivity she brings to our program never will. The next time you see her, she’ll be wearing her Prime colors ready to continue being the teammate everyone loves and the competitor everyone respects.

Keep smiling, Tai. The game is better because you’re in it. 💙

Off-season doesn’t mean softball stops. 🥎 This is the kind of game I want our Stingers girls watching. The little things at this level matter. Energy, communication, hustle, confidence, and how they compete every single pitch. That’s how you grow between seasons. Tonight we’ll be watching Lexi King and Saylor Timmerman represent the Razorbacks on the big stage.

Last night reminded me what this game is really supposed to be about. The Stingers weren’t in the championship, but what we stand for goes way bigger than wins and losses. Every game this season they’ve let this sweet girl Gretchen run the bases, and watching the smile it brings everybody is something special. So after she crossed home plate last night, I met her there with the Stingers MVP chain. Because if there’s anybody who earned it, it was her. 🐝💛 And of course we had to get a picture with everybody’s favorite umpire too. 😉 Congrats to Chaos Black for winning the ship, and I also made a bet with the Diamond Dawgs that if they were in the championship game I’d wear a tutu (Diamond Dawg Colors) showing my support for them! You may not have seen me in it but here’s me owning my bet!
